I purchased this mainly to clean our ceiling fans, but it’s also fantastic for dusting walls & ceilings. Our home is old & the both the ceilings & walls are fibro. The amount of dust that accumulates on both is ridiculous. Using the orange pads on the flat mop, makes it so easy to dust now. With regards cleaning the ceiling fans, while fans blades move there is going to be no perfect solution apart from climbing up a ladder & holding the fan blade steady with one hand & cleaning with the other. One of our fans was so dusty it was embarrassing. I found that if you dust in short rapid back & forward motions, rather than large swipes it does a good job. Even the dust hanging off the edges of the blades eventually came off. The fan was so dusty that a couple of clumps did fall from the duster, but with regular or semi regular dusting I don’t think that would be a problem. The build is reasonably solid, the pole is metal & feels solid. The instructions that come with it are easy to follow. I took the photos after using, that’s why one of the orange pads looks used.

Easy to use, does a great job.

You know you have it bad when as soon as you get lunch break, you open the package, assemble a tool -- and CLEAN with it! LOL. That was me just now. Very impressed with the quick assembly- my fans are only like 9 feet up, so did not need all the extension and could easily only use two poles -- it did a great job on the dry dust on the fans in the living room, I'll do my office one when I go back to work. The kitchen one it made a good try - but I can tell there's some grease or moisture up there kind of cementing to the blades , so I probably need to take the blades off and scrub them, then use this as a weekly cleaner. It did get some off, but not all. The flap is pretty ingenious -- and works well -- you swipe a couple of times - pulling down slightly to get the upside of the blades, then push up lightly if you need to get closer to the underside of the blades, then once kind of to the right edge of the blade, and once to the left -- and voila dust free blades. You can go up into where they are attached to the motor slightly to dust in there as well. I have used the hoop link brush ones and the dust and lint would fly, this captured I'd say nearly 100% of the dust and lint as I am wearing a black shirt and very little landed on me or the floor. Those just seem to make the fan blades spin as you clean, where this one is a closed shape the blades don't move much while you are trying to clean them, and definitely no need to hold on to the tip of the blades as you clean like you do with other tools. The other cleaners that are just a large globe brush have been even worse about making the blades spin and missing the dust in the center part of the blade on the top. This gets all four sides of the blade very easily and quickly and I'm really pleased with this tool. The price I think is pretty good for the item - comparable to the ones who don't clean as well. Comes with 2 of the fuzzy pads and 2 of the smoother pans as well. Be washing mine soon. The poles lightweight yet sturdy and not an issue for this nearly senior citizen to use. Order it - you'll be glad you did and it will make fan cleaning a lot easier, and dare I say it - fun
