It's like having a new Vitamix! At first I was concerned about compatibility and how complex the installation would be. But the drive socket and blades fit well and seal without leaks. The instructions made it easy to install these parts, too. I use this blender every day for protein shakes and making cashew milk. Everything is better mixed and creamy! 6 months later, everything works well so far!

I have a really old Vitamix and they do not even list it on the Vitamix site when you look for what model you have based on serial number. So when I pulled my original blades out I saw that it was the container that had cracked. Probably because the original blade showed signs of wear so it would move in the hole. Luckily I had another container that I got and never used that had blades for dry chopping. If you wanted to make flour. I never used it. So I took that out and used this in that and then put the other one in the cracked blender with the thought if I ever were to try and grind flower the crack would be of no consequence as nothing would leak. So both work well and I have a pitcher that probably will last as long as I will need it since I got the original probably more than 30 years ago. If I get another 30 years well lets hope that I do.
