Q: is the bottom of this tagine flat? i'm looking for something that will work on a glass cooktop, so it can't have a lip/ridge.

It IS flat - we too have a glass (induction) cooktop. And this tagine is very happy on it.

Yes. Being cast iron base this tagine works perfectly on a glass ceramic cook top. No issues at all.

Q: is the cast iron bottom pan treated with non-stick coating? Do you need to season it like other cast-iron pans?

It isn't treated with a coating per se - nothing like a teflon for instance. But it's manufactured in such a way as to be quite non-stick. You do not need to season or treat it like other cast-iron pans. This pan performs so well! Love it.

Q: Has anyone used this cast iron Tangine on an induction cooktop?

FALSE. According to Le Creuset's website, this tagine DOES work on induction and electric cooktops.
