This dye worked great!
I am thrilled with the effectiveness of this dye - very consistent result, true color, and simple instructions. I have a king-size sheet set (flat sheet, fitted sheet, and two pillowcases) that I wanted to dye olive green. I found this iDye product on Amazon. I was a little concerned, since there was only one review and I didn't want to ruin what are fairly new and expensive sheets. They were a mint green that clashes with our other colors. (Note iDye has this product for natural fabrics and a different dye for polyester and nylon blends.) Anyway, I took the plunge hoping for the best. I decided to do the entire sheet set at one time and diligently followed the instructions that came with the dye. I used a top-load washing machine and two packets of dye (based on the weight of sheet set). Since the fabric needed to be pre-wetted, I simply washed the sheets first and set them aside. Then I turned the temperature up on our hot water heater and gave it time to heat - this might not be necessary, but the instructions make it clear that you need very hot water. Then, I filled the machine to medium load (normally I wash them on high load, but this was just enough room for them to move freely). I added the two soluble dye packets and let them agitate for 30 seconds, added 1-1/2 cups of Morton Plain Salt (non-iodized), and added the sheet set. I extended the dyeing time to 60 minutes, per the instructions for better fixation, by resetting the wash cycle several times before it drained to move to the rinse cycle. After that, I let the cycle complete and washed the sheet set from start with a mild detergent in cold water. Then into the dryer. I turned the water heater back to normal and ran a cleaning wash/rinse cycle. I'm providing the detail in case it's helpful. It might seem like a lot, but was actually quite simple. The sheets are now back on the bed - they look and feel great. I don't expect any trouble, but I'll add info if something goes wrong as we use and wash the sheets. Finally, I had to answer some questions about this "toy" - since the dye is sold by a toy store and fulfilled by Amazon. I picked the highest ratings, but have nothing to do with the toy questions.

Best die on the market
This is the best dad that I’ve used to date. I’ve died multiple articles of clothing using other brands, but this one seems to die the fabric quicker and it lasts longer.

Deep color!
I was rather surprised with the ease of use of this product. Its depth of color was excellent also. It did leave the fabric with a weird smell but I would think that might be expected and maybe a few washes will get rid of it but not the color.

Did what I needed
There was really no instructions with the product. Outside on package it said detailed instructions inside but there were none. Outside it gave some instructions but what was really missing was the water to product ratio. It tells you how much salt but that is it unless you use a top loader washing machine. I opted for a bucket with hot water. The color was much darker than anticipated and without knowing how long to soak and stir I had no idea what I was really doing that would impact the final color. My goal was to salvage a pair of LL BEAN hiking pants that were already green but had white bleach spots on the pants legs from an accident with pool chemicals. If this worked great, if not well so what as the pants were already ruined. The dye did color the pants and did at first cover up the white bleach marks. But after a ride and then a wash the bleach marks were noticeable to me if I really gave a good look. They were a slight lighter shade of green than the rest of the pants. However, not very noticeable and for work pants it was a success. I guess if I was dyeing white pants all one color it may have had better results OR if I knew how long I was to wait in the dye I may have had better results. I just don't know. I soaked these in the hat salted water mix for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. I hung to dry all night, rinsed with cold water several times, washed once, dried in dryer. For less than $6 USA I saved $60 pants so I am not complaining.

Packet did not contain enough product to dye my bleach stain
Why did you pick this product vs others?: This company was the only company who sold the color I needed. Value for money: The quality was satisfactory however, I needed a product that was a heavier duty application. Functionality: This product did not cover my bleach stain on my olive dress. Washability: This product did not leave behind residue in the washer. Quality: I found the quality was not sufficient to cover the bleach stain on my dress. I would love to give it another try but am not willing to fork over another $7 only to find it doesn't work again. Stain resistance: N/A

Beautiful color.
I love the color, my linen duvet needed a refresher and I’m very happy with it. It’s also very easy to use.

LOVED IT
The color quality is amazing! The first shirt was a tester so I would know how long to steep the clothes for. It came out a bit splotchy because I didn’t stir it in the pot often enough and I think the water was too hot. It was a white shirt with blue stripes and after boiling for 15 minutes it came out very opaque but a tiny bit splotchy. Second shirt was in the pot for just a few minutes and came out great. No smell and very fast dye job.

If 0 was on the rating scale, I would rate this 0!
Absolutely did not work - AT ALL!!! I used 2 packets exactly as instructions said - in washer - to dye one shower curtain. Absolutely no change. Light blue cotton blend shower curtain went into the dark olive dye and came out - you guessed it - light blue! Complete waste of money!!

The Dye has done a great job for my fitted sheet that I accidentally put some bleach on :( . The fitted sheet was an expensive buy and I thought I will just have to donate it until I browsed here and saw this dye, I tried and its sooo perfect!!!!

Debería especificar en el anuncio que es para lavadoras de carga superior. Es un producto americano y allí las lavadoras son así, pero no tienen por qué serlo en el resto del mundo.
