Avatara's review of "Chasing Amy"
Chasing Amy is the third movie written and directed by Kevin Smith (who also plays a supporting role within the movie) and is part of a six movie set of sorts. Jay and Silent Bob are the only recurring characters in this set of movies which started with "Clerks" and goes on to include "Mallrats", "Chasing Amy", "Dogma", "Jay and Silent Bob strike back" and finally "Clerks II". The story is set around a group of comic book writers and artists who are friends and live in New York. The movie challenges social stereotypes and shows some of the misconceptions that people have about socially diverse groups dealing with sexual, racial, cultural and gender differences. The movie is very well acted and the emotional scenes are completely believable. I find this movie to be profound and thought provoking in ways that are unexpected. "Chasing Amy" is one of my all time favourite films and is highly entertaining as well as informative. If you like to be challenged or informed by your entertainment then this movie is definitely for you.

One of the better romantic comedies
Easily one of the better romantic comedies, with a slightly more original plot and characters than most films in the genre. Directed by the guy who did Dogma (and starring some of the same actors who played in it), so fans of that will likely enjoy it too - although it isn't quite as good as Dogma in my opinion. Pretty much all of the actors in the film do a great job. The only real downside is the protagonist; although played well by young Ben Affleck, the character himself is just an absolute tool... after seeing some of the conclusions he reaches throughout the course of the movie's story, it is really hard for the viewer to feel any sympathy for him and you're more likely to just facepalm at his stupidity.Overall "Chasing Amy" is a very good film, plus £8 for a Blu-ray really isn't bad at all,

classic movie
I really love this movie and it just never gets talked about its a little bit different to dogma or mallrats and really just focuses on Relationshipsand and the main characters finding out the real them but unfortunately has one of those endings that you wish you can change would recommend

Funny Baggy trousers abound
Juvenile rom-com with a some good laughs. The funniest is Ben Afleck's clothes particularly those very funny American middle age man baggy jeans. Afleck's acting is hit and miss - particularly the key scene towards the end - you can see in his expression that he doesn't believe and you're half expecting him to laugh out loud.Better ending than the normal guff from this director.

The love story that eats itself
Totally relateable story of two lost souls that find each other & manage to make a complete mess of the entire situation.
