Have been using the ouidad line for a couple years and have tried most of the products. This has a much better hold to lock out the frizz than anything else. I live in south Florida where the humidity this time of year is always extreme and there’s no need to break the curl cast bc just going outside the air breaks it. the regular gel still doesn’t hold up to it and my hair would still get big. This one does! I can still let it be voluminous and curly but I can calm it down to loose curls with more of a wavy shape and day 2 still looks great. I use it as a touch up too instead of the touch up gel cream bc that seems to add volume. The featherlight is good too. You do need to use a lot of product but it’s worth it

Best curl gel I’ve ever bought. My hair is very curly and gets really frizzy in humidity but my hair is thin/soft so it cannot take very heavy products and I hate when it looks stiff or crunchy. This product leaves my hair looking and feeling soft but controls the frizz and keeps curl shape all day. Even if I rinse my hair the next day the product still works to keep frizz level down and add shape. You really only need a bit but you have to make sure to apply when hair is wet straight out of the shower. I was skeptical because it is pricy but it turned out to be worth it because it works really well and lasts a while since you only need a very small amount and don't need to use it everyday for it to keep working. Would definitely recommend to anyone with curl hair who struggles with frizz

Strong hold, applies easily. A bit pricey in my opinion, with all the great options on the market. But overall I like it. Curls dried soft and no overwhelming scent. I think it helps with hair/curl health since curls retain more moisture.

This is a very nice product for keeping the frizz out of your hair in humid weather. In Florida your hair can be a solid fuzzball if you don't have a good product for it and this definitely controls that. It only takes a little bit and you rub it between your hands and coat your hair with it and no frizz :-) you do have to reapply it each day to keep it under control but it is not heavy and sticky once it's in your hair it also has a pleasant smell.

This curl gel is great!! It's the right hold for me, more then a little and less then stiff! I'm already on my 2nd bottle!Highly recommend!

Are you one of the many curly girls was utterly devastated when Kinky Curly Spiral Spritz was discontinued? Have you googled for a replacement, and bought a dozen products that don't work? I have tried JesseCurl products - even their lightest gel was too heavy. I have tried Kinky Curly Curling Custard - I ended up with hard curls that looked greasy even after breaking the cast. Shea Moisture gels are all way too heavy. I have tried the regular hold Ouidad Advanced Climate control, and it was definite progress, but didn't last more than a couple of hours. I tried layering it with jesseCurl, and I ended up with a shapeless mess. But, this stronger hold Ouidad gel is the holy grail for fine, low porosity curls. You have the scrunch it just a bit to break the cast, and what's left is shiny, bouncy, full, well defined perfect curls. Actually better than the old Spiral Spritz!

This stronger hold gel does not work for my fine, low porosity curls. I had high hopes for this gel as I've been unable to get my usual strong hold gel. It gives a decent cast but once I SOTC, my curls go limp. I've tried multiple application methods, used less curl cream, used no curl cream, even tried no conditioner, but my curls still go limp. As this is the only new product in my routine, I feel the gel is to blame.However, if I were to style my curls for moisture, I would probably use this gel, as my curls feel amazing.
