Review Bosch Cordless Paint Sprayer AdvancedSpray 18V-500 (for Dispersion/Latex Paints, Varnishes & Lacquers; 3m²/min; 2X 1200ml Container; 18V System; Without Battery)Having owned a spray gun for while I am aware of the benefits compared to a mechanical brush or roller. Once you have used a paint sprayer there is no going back in my opinion in terms of time saved and quality of finish. This is a quality brushless motor model which is quieter and more power efficient in use and has added connivence of being cordless. This does not come with battery or charger which need to be purchased separately if you do not already own these. The kit comes with everything you need (excluding battery + charger) to setup and use the paint sprayer. Being a Bosch branded item, this being part of the DIY range build quality is excellent, with solid and precise feel that I expect from Bosch. The brushless motor makes for a more battery efficient usage and also lower noise levels. If you have not used a paint sprayer then there is a little preparation and setup you need to do beforehand to make sure the sprayer works effectively to provide a consistent quality finish. The flow rate as well as nozzle orientation (horizontal/vertical) can be adjusted, and it is recommended to do a horizontal followed by vertical sweep (or vice versa) for thorough coverage. What is vitally important to provide trouble free use is to thoroughly clean and flush out paint once finished. Overall a great quality brushless, cordless paint sprayer.

I purchased the above sprayer based on my positive experiences with Bosch home and garden products. Despite my disappointments with using it, I persevered. It is now too late to return.The sprayer is very prone to clog with both masonry and fence water based paints. I have meticulously adhered to the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions.Also, it is very poorly manufactured - it is almost impossible to separate the front and the rear parts prior to cleaning. When the sprayer does work, it does a reasonable job. It isn’t a time saver and is very poor value for money.

Great tool. Not used it much yet but have repainted part of my shed and two 6x6 fence panels. Lots more to do!Works well and I happy with its performance. Easy to use and not too heavy (but pay attention to the details in the manual!). Sprays welI and gives good coverage (all depends on what paint type you are using and dilution ratio you use of course).I took advantage of a free battery offer and got a free 4.5ah battery which I think is rather necessary! My 2.5ah batteries (a little old) don't last long at all and even the new 4.5ah battery will only run through about a litre and a bit of paint.And of course you need to keep it clean! I dread what might happen if I let the paint dry inside it without cleaning. I guess others do the same as me and spray some clean water through it after use (or a gentle solvent) as well as wash out the nozzles and other parts.Recommended and takes the brush drudgery out of painting garden fences. Although battery power makes it very portable and convenient, if I was buying again I would give a corded model some thought.

This is a fantastic product that makes light work of large painting projects. I bought a shed at the end of summer and have been dreading painting it, so was over the moon to have the opportunity to test this spray gun. It would have taken me all day using a brush, but I managed to have all 4 sides done on a singe battery charge and the finish was very even. I am very impressed with it and it will be a great time saving tool for me.The gun comes with everything you need, apart from a battery and charger, which you need to purchase separately if you don't already own any Bosche tools. I am pleased they include two paint pots as this means you can keep one for water based paints and another for varnishes etc. You also get some very good instructions included, complete with pictures and they're easy to follow.The gun is easy to setup and use and doesn't have a cumbersome hose attached like some of the older electric spray guns. I was very impressed by the performance and how even the coverage was. You can fine tune the spray using the intuitive dial on top and once you get the hang of moving your arm in smooth passes, its very easy to get a neat and even finish. I did have to make several passes, but the area it covers meant it was several times faster than using a brush.Cleaning the gun is made easy as you can detach the spray part from the motor, so you can soak it in soapy water after use. The paint containers also come with a lid, so you can put the lid on to store any leftover paint if you are taking a break etc. They really did think of everything with this.Overall a fantastic product and I am very pleased with it. The current price of £159 seems good value to me based on the quality of the tool and its performance.
