An ultimate home lab server
Fantastic combination of compact and powerful hardware, and expansion options. Among other things I intend to use it as a high capacity router: installed a Mellanox MCX4121-ACAT with two SFP28 ports, passed trough to a MikroTik CHR VM. Works very well, This is most probably the ultimate home lab server.

Great workstation but weak wifi 6 antenna
As other reviewers have written, this thing is a beast. Great specs all around. I have 2 minor gripes. The m.2 nvme slots should've been all gen 4/5 instead of one gen4 and the rest gen3. The second wish is that the wifi antenna be stronger. My wifi cut in and out daily and the only solution was to move my router next to the MS-01. Otherwise, a great workstation mini-pc.

Warranty response is superb.
Have purchased multiple units over time, and on occasion there have been hardware related issues. Response to warranty issues have been great and Minisforum have replaced a 6 month old unit that went on the fritz in 5 days - including the 2 way shipping. Minisforum MS-01 is a winner. Looking forward to new releases.

BEWARE! WARNING! No drivers included
The Mini PC come without the drivers. I had to google search and download them to complete the installation.

Using in a 4 node zfs proxmox cluster. Works great no complaints

This thing is a beast
It's everything the specs suggest it is. I installed this as a hyper-v server with 2 4TB drives in it, mirrored, and 96 gig of RAM. I currently have 7 virtual machines running my Dev environment. It's hooked into my 10 gig network. It's incredible to have such a small machine, with super fast storage and sfp+ interfaces. I actually just purchased another one today, with 2 more 4TB drives and 96 gig more RAM. I'm going to set up asychronous replicate in hyper-v between them, using the other sfp+ interface. This unit barely pulls any power and is virtually silent. On Edit: I'm going to have to bump this down to 2 stars. I had considered one star, but it is overall a nice spec machine. However, ALL THREE of mine are having the same annoying issue. Running ProxMox, which I knew is a unique configuration, so take that into account, all three will crash. Sometimes a day, sometimes 3 weeks. It happens one by one though. Support gave me a new firmware that allowed me to adjust the memory speed slower. I did that on all 3, and it fixed 2, but 1 still crashes almost continually. I'm going to bump the memory speed down again this week and see if it has an affect. It's a bit annoying. In contrast, I've had ProxMox running for literally years on an Intel Nuc without issues. In fact, any server or workstation hardware I've every run ProxMox on has always been 100% reliable, except for the MS-01. I have another Minisforum, but a different model, running xcp-ng and it runs 100%, and has for a couple years now. Not sure what the deal is with this MS-01. It was so promising.
