It seemed to work well at first and accurately identified studs, but identification wasn't consistent then went rogue. I layed it on my lap, and it identified a stud, then it identified the entire wall as having studs. Now it's unreliable. I have to return it.

Easy to use for DIY projects. Sometimes a bit temperamental and requires a reset, but accurate. Good quality for the price. Helped as we installed cabinets into a walk-closet and for hanging heavy mirrors and artwork.
