Wow ... This sharpener is incredible. We own a mid-range knife set that has gotten dull over the past 5 years of household usage. Most pieces were starting to get dull to the point that they were dangerous to use or useless. Before spending $500+ to replace the set, I figured nothing to lose with the $24.99 I paid for this ... Right out of the box, 5 passes and the knife was as good as knew. I was able to do the entire set in less than 15 minutes and just like that, no need for new knives.Went into my shed and broke out older knives that I used for outdoor grilling, brought those back from the dead! I highly recommend these knives to ANYONE. Easy to use, affordable, effective. Easily the best $25 spent in 2025.

I initially ordered just the sharpener for scissors and after I finished that order I came back and decided to give this one a try. This is impressive. I sharpened one knife and tested it on a tomato. I got a clean and sharp cut from the newly sharpened knife. So I went though every knife in the kitchen (including a serrated one) and sharpened every single one. Just running your thumb lightly on the edge tells you it is now sharp. Since I have a sharpening steel I used it lightly on every knife and the sharpness increased but it is ok if you do not have a steel. You are going to get sharp knives anyway. I suggest you wash your knife after sharpening since there will be some grit on the surface afterward. This gadget gives you a lot of bang for your buck! Definetely recommend it!

I love this little sharpener. I’ve used these for years and continue to buy one when the sharpening blades finally dull out. It is designed for simple use. No motors are involved, just manual use drawing the sharpener over your blade for a quick sharp blade. The cutting blades are good for many uses, but when it does get less effective you can reverse the blades to get another set of blades to use. I will continue to buy this product .

I've purchased many knife sharpeners, some simple and inexpensive, some very fancy (and difficult to use!) and expensive but I keep coming back to this little wonder. It is all but foolproof, inexpensive, safe if used correctly and being able to reverse the sharpening components make using it very economical. The only complaint I have and the only reason I cannot give it five stars is that the replacement sharpening bits cost about 90% of the cost of a new unit. I end up just buying a new one every year or so and the old one goes into my stash of tools for use on heavy shears or things like hand held brush trimmers. But with a retail price of less than $12 (at this time; who knows how much it will cost in the future thanks to Trump's tariffs) it remains the knife sharpener I always reach for.

This review is for the Accusharp knife sharpener. I own a bunch of somewhat expensive knife sharpers and this thing just kicked their asses.I have a chopping knife (long thick blade knife for chopping brush) I used to clear about 1/4 acre of bamboo. Afterward I got out my $120 electric sharpener and after 10 minutes, I couldn’t get a good edge on it. So I ordered this $10 AccuSharp unit because of the high ratings. In 30 seconds the chopping knife was sharp enough to be dangerous without careful handlingI’m VERY happy with this purchase.

I loved this sharpener so much I bought 1 for each member of my Family. I have another sharpener, but it's heavy and a pain to drag out and use. This little sharpener works great. It sharpens my knives quickly and easily. It is so easy to just pull out of my drawer to use anytime I want.

I was skeptical. but America's Test Kitchen rated it very highly. I found it extremely easy to use. I took a dull knife and, with a dozen strokes followed by stropping, the knife would easily do the paper slice that many demonstrators use. It is simple to use and small enough not to take up a lot of storage space.

Just what I was looking for. A kitchen tool that easily does the job and fits in my hand. Sharpened my knives quickly and easily, handling all of my kitchen knives.
