Works for My OBS Needs
If you need one, you probably already know what this is, but if you are buying for someone else who needs it, just know that the DTECH HDMI Dummy Plug works perfectly for OBS if you're looking to use it with OSC. There are other uses for it such as for Twitch Streaming, Crypto Mining, and gaining remote access to your computer at a 4K resolution, but we're only using for OBS purposes and can safely say it works great. It's simply plug-and-go, and at $11 for two dummy plugs, it's a bargain. Overall works well without any problems.

Works great; actually has the resolutions advertised
I specifically needed a dummy plug such as this one that offers 1920x1200. The first two brands I ordered off Amazon advertised the resolution I needed, but were not actually programmed to provide that resolution. This one here is the first of 3 different brands I ordered from Amazon that actually has the 1920x1200 I needed. 10/10 A+++ product. Thanks!

Awesome for my headless server
I use an old gaming computer as a plex and data backup server and this lets me use that computer without a monitor. The outer metal casing wasn't glued on super well so it came off on one of mine, but frankly it doesn't matter. I've had no functionality issues with this.

Doesn't work on Windows-11 for me
I bought these dongles to make it possible to remotely connect to a Windows-11 box from a Win-11 laptop. When a physical monitor was connected to the machine, the RDC worked well but it was basically unusable with these HDMI emulator dongles. The screen would show up but mouse clicks did not work well and if the start menu was opened it could not be seen. I tried several different resolutions and refresh rates but the behavior was the same or worse. I am using NoMachine, which has worked for me in the past between Windows and Linux systems with actual monitors. These HDMI emulators were a waste of money for me.

Great for sharing a virtual screen on Zoom
Works great! I primarily use this as a 2nd screen on my laptop when sharing presentations via Zoom. Great for PowerPoints and any custom media applications that rely on a second screen to present media.

the greatest little tech purchase i have made in a long time!
awesome emulator i use it to log into a computer across the globe the remote computer only has a 1920x1080 resolution i have a 4k monitor here i can remotely access that computer and work on a ''fake 4k second monitor'' google remote gives the option to choose which screen to see i have enough bandwidth to enjoy 4k so why not? the greatest little tech purchase i have made in a long time! much recommended!

Works perfectly for remote access
Needed this for reliable remote control of my main computer as its monitor is usually switched off. Plug and play setup had everything working in five minutes.

Love These!
Really excellent deal... I replaced an OWC tbolt product that did the same thing with two of these for less money... These also will allow scaling up and down of the server window vs the OWC tbolt product only having max/min size settings... These products do what they say they will do... My only minor gripe would be that if you open a window in a server window the fonts can look a little squiggly... but this isn't common and you are 3 screens deep at that point... I used this product on 2012 Mac Mini i5/i7 used as servers.

I have an M1 Mac mini server that runs without a screen. With screen sharing, the default resolution was disappointing and could not be changed. Text and images viewed while screen sharing were all rather poor, lacking in detail or difficult to read. Anything animated became a little pixelated, and this included dragging windows across the screen, or menu items dropping down. With the dongle fitted most of these issues disappear. Text is pin sharp, images are detailed and animations look much better. You can still tell it's a shared screen, but it is altogether improved. Recommended. I've shown a screen-grab taken with and without the dongle fitted. Note in particular the quality of the text and detail visible in the image. The M1 Mac mini is running Tahoe, my desktop machine an earlier version of OS X.

Product delivered before shipping time and found as desired. Good Quality Product, working without additional driver (Plug and Play). Packing could be better.. .
