I really liked this dashboard screen. I had bought this for my niece who has a little bit of an older car so she could use navigation and music without looking down at her phone. The Apple CarPlay works seamlessly, and I honestly like this one better than the one that came in my vehicle. It has three brightness modes, daytime, nighttime, dim, and nighttime off. And turning your screen back on from the night time off mode, this is easiest double tapping. Setting it up virtually no time as soon as I hooked up my phone to it through Bluetooth it auto started the Apple CarPlay And for the audio, I just used an aux cord. It also came with an audio cable with the yellow end. It also could hook up to your Bluetooth speakers if you have Bluetooth capabilities in your car. Also, it has its own built-in speakers so if there’s something wrong with your car speakers, you could use that as a back up as well. I do not have an android so I’m not sure what the other screen set up looks like but if you are used to that, I’m sure it’s easy to navigate. I definitely think this has a great price point and is good quality for the cost. It’s also pretty versatile because once you have your phone linked to it once it will auto link and you can just unplug it and move it to a different vehicle if you have more than one vehicle or wanted to go with you if you had a rental. I would definitely recommend this product 10 out of 10.

The options for incorporating this into your vehicle are awesome. My car is old enough that it didn't have a backup camera but it did have Bluetooth and an Aux Input for the radio. So that is 2 options for connecting to the factory system. My favorite and the one I use most is the FM connection. You choose a frequency to broadcast to your factory head unit, then you tune your radio to that same frequency and just like magic you are all set up. Installing the back up camera did take some time and it was easy enough for me to get it done in less than an hour but I could see that installing the camera isn't for everyone and in my case it required a little bit of customization to get it done. The back up camera works great and is something I wish I had for quite a long time. I also love the integration that takes place when you turn the ignition on in the car. It starts up and connects to your phone and gives you all your essential information right on the screen. My favorite part is the map display but the alerts and media information is also very convenient. I did have a little trouble with a couple of things but customer service was superb and they took care of me very quickly. The problems I had also turned out to be self inflicted so I can only blame myself. I think if there were anything I would want to change, it would be the mounting system. It is really good but I had troubles with it sagging. I think I have it figured out now but you can see in the picture that I had trouble keeping it "In the air" instead of having it slump down to sit on top of the dash. This is a great addition to my older vehicle and it brings a little bit of updating without having to swap out my factory equipment. I also like the price and I do recommend this if you are looking for an upgrade without chopping up your dash and ripping out the wires. I do think I will eventually get something I can mount in the dash and use to replace the factory radio, but for now, this gives me all I felt I was missing and more.

There are so many problems with this item. After receiving this item, I had to get Amazon support to order a replacement. Thinking the replacement unit would work as advertised, but it was not. I finally had to return it. 1. The rear camera that I received doesn't look like the one shown in the description. It doesn't have LED lights built into the camera. I thought the replacement would get me a correct one, but it's just the same one. 2. The first unit was working intermittently. I use an iPhone, so when I click on Carplay, half of the time it just shows loading but then goes nowhere. When it works, the sound is terrible, the rearview mirror will show a mirrored image. I can not flip the video image. I have two other portable carplay units. In their setups, I can set them to flip the video image. The replacement unit is even worse. When choosing Carplay, it just stucks at the loading screen.
