I received the Melasma cream undamaged and factory sealed in a box. For some reason, the more expensive something is, the bigger the container. Because the glass on the container is unnecessarily large for some reason to house a small amount of cream. The amount of cream is as expected however, because they list the correct amount. It just always baffles me on why the container is so big. Regardless, the cream does have an aroma, perhaps flowery? It's a nice cream that goes on smoothly and I didn't have any adverse reaction to it. However, my skin isn't too sensitive. It's nice and hydrating as advertised, but I'm not sure if it's lightening up any discoloration caused from the sun and aging.Overall, the price is a bit steep, but it's nice and moisturizing. If I finish the cream and it does in fact proves to reduce darker spots I may consider re-ordering if it's on sale.

I consider myself an expert on all things Asian skincare, and not just Asian. I was curious to try this Vietnamese cream, cause I'm used to Korean and Japanese ones by now. I can't say I was impressed much, and I'll definitely stick to my Korean staples.I'm in my 40s, combination skin, but currently on tretinoin and need a bit of extra hydration.PROS:- There are some nice ingredients in the formula, most tried and tested an Asian skincare, like snail mucin, red ginseng, bee venom.- The packaging looks inviting enough, both the box and the jar inside seem attractive. The box came completely wrapped in plastic, once you take it off, there's also plastic seal on the box itself, and I always welcome such measures to prevent tempering.- The cream seems nice in texture, it's spreads and absorbs easily, does leave my skin moisturized for a while, though not for too long. If you have super dry skin, you might still need to apply a facial oil on top to seal the moisture.CONS:- Even though I like some of the ingredients, I don't like a lot of other things in the formula. There's a lot that I try to avoid in skincare, and I was surprised to find a bunch of them in the cream.- Even though the jar inside had a vacuum sealed film, it's still somehow leaked, and the cream was on the inside of the cap and on the neck of the jar. I can't say I'm thrilled about that, and I guess I should go by the date of manufacturing instead of when I opened it, especially since there is a certain period of time you need to use the cream.- The cream has a very strong almost perfume-like smell, and even though I'm not sensitive to smells, I still prefer my skincare to be very delicately fragranced if not unscented completely. If you're sensitive to things like that, I would avoid this product. I probably won't use it past the one time I tried it, cause I just can't deal with a strong artificial smell on my face that doesn't seem to go away.OVERALL IMPRESSION:I personally think that the cream is super overpriced for what it is. Considering questionable ingredients, strong fragrance, and a tiny size of the jar sitting inside of a huge box, I don't think it's really worth the price. There's so many more affordable products out there that have much better ingredients, and are not even scented. But that's my opinion of someone who is into Asian skincare.

This Melasma cream works really well for my skin tone! Two years ago I started to get two melasma patches on my face in the summer time. I have struggled to minimize my melasma especially in the summer months. This cream actually works well with my skin and melasma patches. It does a great job both softening my two melasma spots while also hydrating my skin. The cream is gentle on my sensitive skin and didn't cause any adverse side effects. The cream has a really good ingredient list with straight forward ingredients. I've been using this cream in both the am and pm for a few weeks now and in the few weeks since I started using this cream I've noticed my skin is more hydrated and has become more even and consistent. My melasma spots have lightened up and my complexion looks more supple and natural. The cream didn't eliminate my melasma but, I can see that it is definitely working to lighten/even it. Would absolutely recommend to those with sensitive skin looking to lighten/even their melasma sun spots.

This product is super expensive for how little is actually in it. The container is very wasteful as it’s so much plastic, and again not a lot of product. The cream does work well with moisturizing and does not leave an oily finish on my face - But I feel for the price you can find better options. I did like how lightweight it is.

This has ingredients that will brighten and moisturize skin and has a fairly thick consistency. It's so strongly scented though that I can't use it anywhere near my face. I instead tested it on my legs, where I can still smell the scent, but it's at a tolerable level for me.
