These are some of the best paint by numbers I've done. I started doing a lot of them a year ago when I was cutting down in scrolling and social media. I wanted something easy but satisfying to work on while I relaxed after work. A few things make these good. First, they're framed which makes them easier to deal with. Second, the paint is fairly opaque and thick, even the lighter colors. If you frequently do paint by numbers you know how irritating it is when the numbers show through the paint. Lastly, they are complex enough to be interesting and engaging, but not enough to be irritating. They take me a little less than a week, doing an hour or two a day. The end result is very pretty.

These are so nice! And what a great value for the money! I see these advertised elsewhere for a lot more. You really got a lot of bang for your buck with these. And it was so much fun to paint! Keeps your hands, busy being creative and keeps your mind, healthy and relaxed. I’m not an artist but these make me look like I am. You need these! I love mine. Really really pretty and makes a great gift too. lots of paint colors and the brush is nice too.

In the end, the paintings turned out nicely. The good: There was plenty of paint for these small canvases. The numbers were clearly printed (but do take photos of the unpainted canvas before you begin, because some of the tinier spaces have numbers on the lines). The paint colors were vibrant. Some of them are more transparent hand others, and it doesn’t have to do with lightness or darkness of shade. One of the darkest oranges was quite transparent, while a couple of the near-whites were opaque. It was fun, though. The two I’ve completed so far took me about 6 hours each to complete. Then after they dried, I went back the next day for maybe 30 minutes to give a second coat to any numbers I could see peeking through, and even out the color of the more transparent paints. A couple of things would have made the kit better. First, the easel should not be used. It’s so small that the top point is pressing into the canvas. There’s also nothing to keep it from just kinda collapsing. The ledge that it sits on is not fastened in any way, and the three legs just swing wildly on the pivot. Second, the reference photos are so small they’re also unusable. I had the forethought to take photos of them beforehand so I could magnify if I needed to. But they’re actually poorly printed and blurry, so it doesn’t help much with small detail. Those are minor issues, overall. And honestly I could do without a better easel. I don’t understand not offering a clear reference photo, though. Surely fixing that would be cheap.

I am really enjoying this paint by number set. The numbers are so clearly printed on the canvas, they are very easy to read and the paint coverage is quite good. A few of the lighter colors require a second coat but, if I have the presence of mind, I will use ‘Wite-out’ and daub a small bit over the number before I paint and then one coat is more than sufficient. (Great time saver and end result.) The paper reference sheet of the painting is printed clearly as well. I highly recommend this set as a trouble free project to immerse yourself in a little crafting escapism.

So far so good. This brand so far is great. It gives me a sample picture in case I can’t read a number . It gives me a picture of what I am about to paint as well. The last one I got had none of this and the paints themselves were horrible . The paints are great . Not to dry not to runny . Very fresh. I love painting , it’s relaxing and chill. I will stick with this brand.

I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this kit. It came with brushes and paints, and the color match is pretty good. I’ve only finished one of the paintings and it took me quite a bit (used it to train my non dominant hand and I think this one was the most challenge of the four on hindsight). I did have to do multiple layers on some paints to achieve full coverage and sharper edges. I also bought a fine brush set but honestly I used the brush that came with it 90% of the time and it was better for finer details in some parts than my other set

The designs are lovely but often I would find that there was an air bubble in the paint cup so I did not have enough paint to complete the picture. Also the paint was sometimes clumpy and dry. I was able to mix colors from other kits I had (save your old paint from each kit) to complete the process - but this is something I should not have to do. Unfortunate.
