Fab collar, tracker, and great app
This is great for those with cats that go outdoors and want peace of mind as to where they are. The subscription I went for was £120 for two years with £42 loss and replacement cover. Yes, it’s expensive, but knowing where my cat is makes it worth it. The battery does deplete quickly if you’re constantly using live tracking, but it updates on its own every few minutes which is enough (though I did spend half an hour watching the app when she went out the first time - it’s addictive). It has health features to track activity and rest and a cool leaderboard that shows the cats in your local area - no surprise the local bengal is streets ahead of the rest for active time! The collar is great and she doesn’t notice the tracker at all, it weighs about 25g (she weighs 5kg) - it’s the first collar she’s worn. It has a quick release with three settings and is adjustable. It comes with a charger and a clip/rubber casing to attach to the collar, I went for the latter as it seems more secure. You can also share a link to family members so they can see where your pet is, which my Dad loves. You can set safe zones and danger zones and the app will alert you if your pet leaves one/enters another. Overall, I think this is excellent value for money and the app has great features.

Amazing cat tracker for little money!
I got this tracker a month ago and boy this is MUCH MORE THAN JUST A GPS TRACKER. Ease of Use: The setup was incredibly quick and simple, and the app is user-friendly. Pairing the tracker with my phone was seamless. GPS Accuracy: Outstanding. I can track my cat’s movements in real-time. No more stress for me! Battery Life: The battery life exceeded my expectations. A single charge lasts over a week, reducing the hassle of frequent recharges. Of course this depends on how long your cat is out the house. Durability: The tracker is robust and weather-resistant, I can see this tracker lasting a lifetime. Size and Comfort: It’s very lightweight and compact, so my cat doesn’t seem to notice it. This surprised me A LOT since she’s small and very picky on wearing collars. She doesn’t seem to care wearing it and I noticed she can move and jump around as if nothing changed! Features: this “geo-fencing” feature is a game-changer! Receiving instant alerts if my cat leaves designated areas gives me peace of mind. Overall this is a high value investment! You got everything you need to keep your cat comfortable and safe. Highly recommended!

Great tracker
I've been using tractive mini cat trackers for both of my cats for 2 years now and overall I love them. The accuracy of the GPS is great, I love the sound and light options (use them frequently to either find which exact bush my cat is hiding in, or to find the tracker itself if they lost it). I also like the high standard of the customer service offered by the company, keep up the good work. Things I'd like to see improving - there isn't many to be fair. The battery drains quickly when you put it on LIVE mode, so would be excellent to see some improvement there however I can understand the difficulty of doing that and keeping the device small enough for cats to wear. The other thing is that I don't think Tractive Care is worth it. It used to be worth it when you'd receive the collar and the rubber tracker holder, as well as the tracker itself, in the event that the current tracker was lost or stolen. However, you don't get the collar and necessary accessories included anymore. So essentially you are paying £20 a year for tractive care and if your cat loses the tracker that year you can claim one "for free", but then the collar and the accessories come to additional £20, not to mention the shipping costs. So in total you are still paying over £40 for a new tracker, which is essentially a cost of one anyway. So you may as well not bother with Tractive Care and order a new tracker when your cat loses the one he's wearing now. Some years you might actually save money cause yiur cat might not lose it (one of mine lost about 4 trackers already, whilst the other one never lost hers, I guess it depends what kind of mischief they are into). Back to the point, I think keeping the price of tractive Care at £20/year but including the accessories to the replacement tracker, would make it an appealing option for many. As it currently stands, it's not worth paying for.

Expensive mistake IMO
Very expensive mistake ! IMO -Need £120 subscription for 2 years per device to use app to use tracker. So realistically this device is £150. And then £60 subscription a year after 2 years. And double that if you have 2 cats. I was surprised you could not add a second device. Wish I had known that before buying the first. -And there is an additional amount for subscription if you want to share the tracking of your cat. - rubber holder that holds device in collar has already broken after 2 weeks and replacement costs £9. Pros : - app and device work well Works well. - found by setting a low power usage zone device batter lasts for a few days.

Help, my kitten, that's indoors, is stuck up a tree that's 2.2 miles tall according to this tracker?
We bought this to go on a young cat that's due to be let out next week, we have two older cats that are fine and don't seem to wander far but we had a young cat venture over to a main road where he was run over and killed at the beginning of the year and the kids are worried now its getting time to start letting the new youngster out and about. We bought this tracker to reduce stress and for peace of mind, we can set areas where when entered it messages you to warn you, that would mean if the cat went towards the main road we would get a heads up and a chance to go and call him back, not fool proof but better than nothing. when it arrived we set it up and as the young cat isn't allowed out for another week we put it on one of the old cats to test it, we played with it and tried finding him via it, the problem started when we tried to track him, the app stated he was still within the safe home zone so live (GPS) tracking wasn't available and we had to use Bluetooth radar instead, then when you click radar option it says the tracker is out of range and cannot be detected, so the tracker wouldn't actually track either by GPS or Bluetooth. i then cancelled the safe home zone so live track could be used, by which time the cat had come in and was laying at my feet, live track(after several minutes giving many various different distance readings and directions finally settled on telling me he was (i believe from memory) 79ft away at some silly height above the ground walking at 2 mph, again this is whilst he was asleep at my feet. we looked at the features, it gives you a history tab where you can see a heat map showing exactly where your cats been and what time it was there, the routes taken etc, was kind of nice seeing where he goes and hangs out we thought, well that was the first day, second day we noticed that or elderly cat was in a zone marked danger, at an altitude 3500ft above the ground and all whilst being actually within eyeshot of me in the garden, that made us think. i messaged Tractive at this point and told then all this, no response as yet same day we figured we would take it off the old cat and let the kitten wear it indoors to get used to it before we eventually let it out as the size of the tracker is not small even on an adult cat let alone a kitten. well that night we received numerous messages in the night to warn us that the kitten was in areas we had marked as dangerous, was by a main road and had walked all around the local area, amazing since he was in a secured house that he couldn't get out of the whole time! this went on all the next day, we would get random alarms that he was in the danger zones and history showed routes he had supposedly taken all over the area during the day, in reality he had not left the interior of our house the whole time, by now we are also assuming the heat map and tracker routes we thought so cute for the initial test on our older cat could now not be depended on as accurate of valid, it could be a tech savvy roaming badger for all we know now. i messaged tractive again with all this and still nothing today, more of the same, false warnings, ghost trails around the neighbourhood that he has supposedly taken whilst actually being indoors BUT......most impressively of all he has either learnt to fly or he has found the tallest tree in the world and managed to climb it as the tracker currently shows he is in a woods near me a an altitude of approx. 2.2 miles above the ground, I don't know if I should feel proud, worried or confused 😉 Apologies for a long review i know but in short we bought this for peace of mind, spent money on this tracker and then an additional two year subscription and it is proving to be widely inaccurate and far from looking at getting more for the other two cats we will be awaiting a response from Tractive to the messages I sent them and unless they confirm I have inadvertently set it to super cat flying mode I will be looking for there refund procedure.

Just the thing to keep tabs on your little wanderers
Excellent product for keeping tabs on wandering cats. We have three of these now and started using them over a year ago when we got a couple of young cats, one of which likes to get in cars and vans. Battery life we have found to be pretty good, we charge ours every 4-5 days. However, battery life depends on how much your cat wanders out of the power saving zone which connects via WiFi. We have two younger cats who are wanderers, 2-4 miles a day, their tractives require charging far more often than the one on our older cat who doesn't go very far from home, and we charge his about once a week. We have found the app very useful for finding one of them when he decided to go 'feral' on us for a few days last summer and set up home in a hedgerow. App is also an eye opener as to how far some cats travel. We have found the radar, light and sound functions useful for the odd occasions when a cat comes home without their collar and tractive, you can normally get within a couple of feet of the tractive using radar and then turn on the sound and light to pinpoint it. You need to factor in buying the subscription as well, which is required, and ours works out at a £5 per month for each tractive. The units look fairly big when they arrive and you first put them on but the cats don't seem to notice them and it doesn't seem to inhibit their antics. Finally, the app has a heat map function so it shows you where your cat spends the most time, don't be too surprised if you discover you 'share' your cat with others, like they say 'you don't own a cat, it just lets you live in it's home'.

Reliable
Great device and app, gives me peace of mind when my cat is out hunting. Only thing I wish it had was a little camera option

Very poor battery life
While it tracks location very well, the battery life is very very poor. It won't last a day. One minute I check and it's on 28 and few minutes later it's down to 18. Also, it's very chunky, not great for small cats.
