Nippon Chuko Sashiko Adjustable Ring Thimble F2-79

Purchase so I could hand sew items when needed without hurting my fingers. Saw a similar one in a sewing video. Works much better for me than a regular thimble as it is adjustable.

Starting off, I want to say that the thimble does help; it's super easy to use and, of course, simple to wear. However, there is one simple issue I have with it. The biggest issue is that the ring tends to rotate when pressure is applied, which can make it sometimes difficult to apply equal and even pressure to the needle in harder materials like denim. This is probably the only main gripe I have with it, however, as it is resizable, you can easily switch it between any finger you want or prefer it on, and it makes it far more comfortable to wear than something like a thimble hat. Even with it being resizable, the ring is super durable, and I haven't had it show any signs of weakening yet, which is great. I do recommend it, but I had to knock one point off for the slight slippage.

Very, very helpful product not only with Sachiko, but also with certain types of slow stitching in general or you’re going through multiple layers of fabric and needing to push a needle through that’s more difficult to push through so I really enjoy this and I’m thinking of ordering several more because I have several stitch baskets that I keep in various places And that way I don’t have to go looking for it each time I want to use one it will be right beside me in my chair or in my fabric room or wherever it I happen to be working. I just really enjoy using it.

Works, good adjustable fit and hasn't turned my finger green. Been comfortable to wear stitching for an hour + at a time.

I have never used this type of thimble, as I am learning how to Sashiko. Love it's adjustable to make it fit. It is easy to use.

Wish I sound this years ago. Finger-tip thimbles are a joke, especially for larger hands. This thing is awesome, I put the thimble where I want it, how I want it. I’ll never go back.
