-Handmade Poplar chopping board with a natural branch handle- Also great as a serving platter, cheese board or tapas tray Handmade from reclaimed English Poplar hardwood and using a lime wood branch as a handle this chopping board is a stunning addition to any kitchen or dining table. The board is different on each side (please see the photo gallery as reference) one side has a wavy edge and is more rustic, whereas the other side is more highly finished, meaning you are essentially getting two chopping boards in one. The branch is English Lime that I saved from the jaws of the chipper on a tree surgery job that I was working on, it is rebated and fitted into a hole drilled into the board making it an extremely secure fit. This Poplar hardwood chopping board is finished with 2 coats of medicinal grade mineral oil that is both food & child safe, odourless and colourless. Made from reclaimed wood this chopping board has excellent 'green' credentials. Dimensions(approx); Length (including handle) 28.5cm Width 20.5cm 3.8cm thick CARE: Not to be left immersed in water, simply wash clean and wipe dry to prevent warping or splitting. NOT dishwasher safe. Extra coats of a mineral, or food safe oil can be applied to the chopping board from time to time to help nourish the board, thus preserving its life span.
