Be Ready When the Luck Happens: A Memoir

A really interesting read about the life of one of my favourite tv cooks. A lot of information in the book that I wasn’t aware of, so I found it interesting and informative. I bought the paperback, which is 394 pages, decent sized font, a few black and white pictures, and an east read.

Love Ina as a cook but this book is something else. So inspirational, so down to earth, really a great read.

I bought as a gift for my daughter who is currently reading the memoir.,She tells me it's a moving and worthwhile read.

While loving Ina over the years, I didn’t think this book was that special. Seemed to be a lot of sugary thank yous to the people in her circle. I was a very fast read with not much depth. But if you want to relish in her accomplishments, this is the book for you.

I really enjoyed reading Ina’a memoir ,it was a very interesting read.

This book was advertised as new. Clearly it is not new. The dust jacket is crumpled around all the edges and the pages and spine show signs of having been read. Ah well!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Ina's journey and learning more about her life. If you have enjoyed her cooking presentations, you will enjoy reading how it all came to be.

An honest, moving, and down to earth autobiography of one of my favorite chefs, poignant, interesting and humbling. Very unpretentious, she shares the victories and challenges of her life, both personally and professionally and how she overcame them. She is truly a treasure both to watch and to read about in this book. Even if you hate cooking, you will love her story. But let the reader beware, after reading this you will be itching to go to France.
