Saffron Mill Grinder

As an Iranian, I can tell you this is the best saffron grinder you can get if you want to use saffron properly. The negative reviews were for a different grinder that used to be sold under the same link. Make sure you buy the one in the picture I’m posting.

Not working for grinding saffron!!

Got this for saffron and it quickly and easily grinds it down. I think if you want a super fine powder you might want to stick to a mortar and pestle but this gets really fine and it’s fine enough

Good saffaran grinder

I really wanted to like this saffron grinder, but it ended up being a big disappointment.

It doesn’t work for saffron. For other spices maybe but saffron remains in it and also it doesn’t grind properly

As a middle eastern gal, I use a lot of saffron in my cooking and this has made the prep work a breeze. Would recommend!!

While the built quality is good and it looks nice, the unit I got has a machine oil smell. The smell emanates from the metal plate at the bottom. I was not sure how to get rid of the smell, and I was sure that it will contaminate any saffron that comes in contact with it. I used some sacrificial damp saffron, left it in for a few hours, and that seems to take care of the smell to a great extent. Also, I noticed that damp saffron strands gets cut in halves and thirds. Whereas dry brittle gets crushed just fine. I have attached photos. The material is some kind of hard plastic.

Je l'ai utilisé comme moulin pour le safran. Ça a pas donné le résultat que j'attendais. Il a seulement coupé le safran en deux ou 3 morceaux, pas plus

I wasn't sure this would actually work on saffron, but honestly it surprised me. It crushed them to find powder so easily, and it really made a small pinch go a lot further in cooking. Super handy for getting the most out of expensive saffron. My only complaint is the quality of some of the parts. The glass cup came a bit sticky out of the box with sticker residues and the plastic parts were already yellowed. For the price, I expected much better. Still, overall, works like a treat and would happily recommend if the presentation and quality is improved.

It does not work for saffron as stated. Its cheap and tacky but looks okay in the photo. Rubbish item and Amazon should stop selling this item and similar items that dont work
