Nice quality boxes
Very happy with the quality. I got such a good deal. I thought I would take a chance and I was pleasantly surprised to see the quality of these boxes about 3-D five boxes and six supers. A specifically bought these boxes for the window. The window has a nice thick plastic sheet . can actually see the bees and it helps me keep an eye on what’s going inside the hive without having to open it too often. But specifically for winter I plan on using three of these boxes for feeders. I bought 12 external feeders that I will have to drill into the box. I’m gonna put these under the window so that I can see if the bees need more food during the winter. I’m hoping this will not disturb the hive too much in the winter, but allow me to feed them from the outside while keeping an eye on the inside. It’s an experiment but I think it’s a good investment. I’m happy with my purchase.

Good customer service
Update: After complaining to customer service, Vevor agreed to reissue the missing parts. However, they actually resent me a full package. I’m so surprised of that. This time the package come in good condition, everything is neatly packed inside(as the last 3 pics). I think if they would have tied up all frame parts together, the parts would not be missing from the first shipment even with damaged packaging. Their hive boxes have good side panels well coated with wax, but the top and bottom board still have obvious gaps between planks. I hope they will improve craftsmanships in the future. Vevor’s customer service responded within 24 hours every time. And their system can let you keep track of the previous conversations. —————————————————————- The package came damaged, the top cover was came broken. Some of the frames are missing. I think the clear window on a hive box was a great idea. However, the hive boxes are not well built. You can tell there are obvious gaps between wood planks with the cover, I’ve bought several different hiveboxes from different brands. And this is the first time I see this. The entrance reducer is an inch shorter than the full width, leaving a big gap. My other boxes all came with a nicely fit full width entrance reducer. Although I’m not a professional beekeeper, I’ve bought hive boxes from 5 different sellers/brands. I’ll say the Vevor hive boxes has the worst craftsmanship of all. I contacted Vevor customer services, they offered to reissue the missing parts. But the representative also completely omitted the broken top cover and not right size entrance reducer problem. I’m okay to fix those on my own, but I will not buy from them again. I can tell that they don’t have a good quality control and product packaging for their products, and they don’t seem to care about that either.

It is a good hive in overall
When the box arrived. I saw it had contact information in England, Germany and as well in China. It was made in China. Surprise!! But you could deduct it might also be sold in Europe. What made me believe it is a good quality product. The manual was in color and had good quality and only in English. I was expecting German and Chinese as well. The hive is good in general. It also has a queen excluder and an entrance reducer. It was very easy to assemble. You need a rubber mallet to put the boxes together. I really liked the dovetail feature as other mentioned on their reviews. They even provide the nails to secure the frames. You don't need anything else but a hammer and a rubber mallet. Most ppl will be very happy with it. I prefer a screened bottom board. This one comes with a solid bottom board. So I had to buy one, also a hive stand. The observatory window is just on one side of the box. I was expecting to be on both sides like the Flowhive. The observation windows, aka window, was the feature that made me go for this product. It also has some openings. Take a look at the picture. I have mixed feelings about it. It might help to ventilate the hive during the summer. But I am afraid beetles, ants and other insects might get in. A strong hive can defend itself, a weaker one .... The frames are good. Also the waxed foundations. I like to have a wedged top bar frame. Where the bees build their own comb. I try not to use the foundations. Unfortunately, you can't modify those here. So I had to buy those too. As I mentioned, this hive is complete and you can start beekeeping right away. I got a hive stand, screened bottom board and wedged top bar based on my preference. You don't need it.

My bees have been very successful in these hives!
I’m really not sure how some of the reviews are so bad. I found the boxes to be well built. Putting them together was easy and straightforward. All joints were machined correctly and fit was excellent. I have several of these. I have other boxes from Premier and Brushy Mtn. In all honesty, the bees don’t mind and two of my Vevor colonies were my best honey producers last year. For this price, I don’t see how you could go wrong.

Black Friday Deal… SCORE!!!
Purchased 2 of these on Black Friday. Love the dovetail joints, with one exception, when the dovetail is made on a knot. See attached image. I haven’t assembled the frames yet, but it doesn’t appear that any of the pieces for the frames have knots in them. Would had given this review 4*, but the units arrived sooner than expected… WOOT! Xmas came early!

Can’t go wrong with this
I am so impressed with this seller the products he’s sending me are exceptional. Yeah it could’ve been the best wood but who’s gonna pay for the best wood this is very very good. Wood doesn’t split even using a drill on it. It doesn’t split comes together very nicely. All the joints are carved out exactly I TRULY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. I WILL BE BUYING MORE FROM HIM IT WAS VERY NICE PROFESSIONAL CAN’T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT HIM AND HIS PRODUCT

Product is OK but there are some issues.
Pros and Cons: Pro side: Delivered earlier than promised. All the parts were there. Easy to assemble. Lightweight fir wood makes it easier to move the boxes around. All thirty frames fit together very well. Con side: Both brood box sides (with observation window) split while assembling the dove tail connections. It is too weak in this area due to the cut out for window. This was fixable with wood glue and clamps. They need to supply long finishing nails to secure the sides at the dovetail cuts. (my opinion) The bottom board is made out of fir slats. This allows for too many cracks for hive beetles and wax moths to hide in. Needs to be a solid board. Overall the product is OK but I have purchased better from other vendors.

Poor quality control, some pieces did not fit together
Several of the wood pieces were not cut properly and did not fit together without modification. The dovetails of the deep boxes did not mesh together properly. It's as if the cut the dovetails before two of the pieces were properly dried, so they shrank after the dovetails were cut. Trying to force the dovetails together caused the wood pieces to crack. The super boxes did fit together correctly. But one of the indents on the super for hanging the frames was not cut deep enough. In the photo, you can see that the remaining wood is wider on one box compared to the other. On the one that was left too wide, the frames cannot be inserted. The waxing on the boxes was uneven, with some areas appearing devoid of wax. The boards appeared to be constructed from thin strips of wood glued together, which would be okay by itself. But the boards were cut to uneven thickness. So you can see surface of the box is uneven, with some parts sticking out more than others. This also causes gaps where the boxes join together. The boxes did not come with screws or predrilled holes for screwing. The instructions only mention pushing the dovetails together, but that does not seem secure. Glue doesn't hold since glue doesn't stick to waxed wood. I ended up nailing them together since it was fast to do with a nail gun, and nails inserted at 90 deg angles at the corners should hold it together securely. The foundations themselves appear to be good quality, with a good coating of wax. I always like to add more wax myself to give the bees a head start building comb. The VEVOR hives get discounted a bit more than other hives on Amazon, such as MayBee and Pollibee. But I've had much better experience buying hives from those brands. Not worth the money saved.
