Improved TV sound and functionality in a small package
I want to start by giving this 5 stars but with a caveat. It is a five star device as long as you understand that it's not a 5.1 surround sound system and have the appropriate expectations. The Roku Streambar SE combines the functionality of a compact soundbar with the added function of a Roku streaming device which is two great things to have in one package.First I'll talk about the device itself and some advantages. The device has a compact design that easily blends into any home entertainment setup. It doesnt take up much room below the TV like a 2 foot long sound bar would. It features a couple decent speakers that deliver clear and relatively immersive sound. Compared to just TV speakers, there is a big jump in audio quality of your movies, shows, and music. There is a noticeable amount of bass, mids, and voice clarity. But it's not going to be as good as a larger soundbar with a dedicated subwoofer.I love the Roku functionality and that it has 4K, HD, and HDR streaming capabilities versus some of the lower end Roku sticks. You get crisp and vibrant video playback. And all of the apps associated with a Roku device.Setting up the Streambar SE is straightforward with Roku's guided setup process. It integrates well with any modern TV, offering a user-friendly interface that allows quick access to a wide range of streaming channels and apps. It's much less complicated than a multi-piece soundbar. As a Roku device, the Streambar SE provides access to thousands of channels and streaming services, including popular platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+. It supports wireless connectivity, allowing you to stream content directly from your smartphone or tablet to the TV screen. This is of course the case for any Roku device. The Price is extremely competitive at netween 80 and a 100 bucks. You get a lot of value for anyone looking for an easy upgrade their TV's sound quality while gaining access to a versatile streaming device. I keep stating this but having both in one device is very beneficial.Overall, The Roku Streambar SE is an ideal choice for anyone seeking to improve their TV's audio performance and streaming. Itbhas a very compact design, decent enough sound quality, and a great Roku interface. it's a great device that caters to someone looking for a simple upgrade, someone with limited space, or someone that just wants better sound and doesn't need theater surround sound, which is probably a large amount of people.A side note. This is a relatively new model. There is a larger model that slots above it if you want to increase the sound quality. You can also add a subwoofer to this for extra cost which would improve the bass response. It's nice to have the flexibility.

Awesome Upgrade for Sound & Streaming
This little soundbar is a powerhouse! I bought the Roku Streambar SE to upgrade an older TV, and I’m super impressed. The sound is way better than the built-in speakers—dialogue is much clearer, and it has a surprising amount of bass for the size. The built-in Roku works just like their streaming sticks, so I didn’t need any extra devices or remotes. Setup took maybe 10 minutes, and I was up and watching in no time. It even works with Bluetooth, so I can play music from my phone too.Perfect for bedrooms or smaller living rooms. Great value for the price!

Does not come with the remote for TV control
This is a great device for any "dumb" TV in a smaller room. It has full sound and a solid Roku. For the cost, you won't get a soundbar which sounds this good and a Roku separately. There are two things which make the Streambar SE not perfect. The first is the lack of inputs. If your TV doesn't have ARC, you have to use an optical cable. My older TV doesn't have either of those... however, I am only using the TV for streaming over the Roku, so it works fine in my use case. The second issue is a bigger one. Every description, including the one here on Amazon, states that this comes with a remote which controls the TV. I was counting on this so I only had to use one remote. The Streambar SE comes with the basic Roku IR remote. To control a TV you will need to acquire a Roku voice remote and pair it to the Streambar.

Another Homerun product from Roku!
We finally cut the cord to save almost $200/month on our television watching. We've had a larger Roku streambar that I've written a previous review for. That was primarily for improving the sound quality and "smarts" of a rather dumb older TV. This time we mainly wanted the streaming platform and the Roku content itself, which is quite a lot!It took some adjusting to learn the difference between Roku "live" which you can't pause or playback, vs the seemingly endless catalog of content available in the general Roku collection. We do have Max for some live programming and 1-day delayed newer content but otherwise, Roku is meeting our entertainment needs at least until football restarts. An especially big shoutout to the Roku movie selection: it is what Netflix used to be! Very high quality but perhaps lesser known films starring Great actors, as opposed to today's Netflix which is some original programming and a ton of rehashed movies you can always see on regular cable e.g. Captain America or The Hangover Part II. Why is anyone still paying $9-14/month for that!? Highly recommend Roku as sound enhancement and pay-one-and-done affordable entertainment

Great Sound!
I couldn’t hear the dialogue in most programs. The sound was very fuzzy. But now with the soundbar everything is crystal clear. It was a snap to hook up. All cables were included and a remote control that I didn’t even need. It only took a couple of minutes to connect to my TV. Very happy with the purchase.

Sound quality is much better than most TVs, and the Roku interface is clean and simple to use
This is an excellent way to turn a “smart” TV that doesn’t have the superior Roku interface into a Roku. I like that the speakers are forward firing instead of down firing like most TVs. The sound quality is excellent. I plan on adding the wireless bass module as well.

Super clear and easy to use
This is a great simple speaker for my non-smart TV. I've been using a roku streaming device on my TV and controlling the box with one remote and the TV volume/power with another remote. The TV speakers gave out finally. So, I hooked this up and removed my roku streaming box. This allows me one remote for the volume and the streaming apps. Unfortunate, my Samsung TV is not compatible with CREC so I still use a separate remote for the TV power but everything else is from this one roku SE remote. Also, I would have liked some sort of mounting bracket with this streambar.
