Very Good Butane Torch, Easy One-Handed Operation
This handgun shaped butane torch is very well suited for culinary needs. It holds a good supply of fuel, however there is no gauge to tell how much fuel is left. It's a single flame torch, with intensity of the flame controlled by a thumb wheel on the upper back of the handle. Butane is injected through a port on the bottom of the handle. The flame is ignited by squeezing the trigger, and the left side there is a sliding switch that keeps the trigger depressed for continuous flame when lit and acts as a safety lock when the torch is not lit by not allowing the trigger to be depressed. The torch can be stood on the handle base when not being used, though it's not very stable. This torch could be used as a cigar lighter, candle lighter, etc. I don't have a gas stove so I mostly use it to char peppers and it's great for that. The only deficiency of this torch IMO, is the lack of a fuel guage, but I don't think that's enough to subtract a whole star from my rating. I very much recommend this item.

It works great, but hard to know when to refill.
This kitchen torch lighter is a fun and useful tool that has a unique look. It fits comfortably in your hand, making it easy to use for long periods. The lighter also has a locking feature that allows you to keep the flame on without holding down the trigger, which is convenient for tasks like caramelizing sugar on a creme brulee. The lighter is made of lightweight plastic, which initially concerned me, but it appears to be well-made and durable. The trigger is easy to press, the flame is strong, and it's adjustable, which is a real plus. It works quickly for cooking tasks like searing meat or melting cheese, but it's also great for lighting candles. However, one of the biggest downsides of the lighter is that it's challenging to tell when it's full. There's no gauge to indicate when the fuel is running low or when it's time to refill. The only way to know is when the flame starts to weaken or stop working altogether. While you may notice a slight odor when the fuel is full, it's not always easy to detect. This feature, or lack thereof, is quite frustrating, especially if you're in the middle of a cooking task. Despite this, the lighter is easy enough to fill. It uses butane gas, which is readily available at most hardware stores or smoke shops. You simply insert the nozzle from the butane and fill until full. However, a way to tell when it's full or almost empty would have been a great addition to the design and, in my opinion, a major flaw.Overall, the kitchen torch lighter is a handy tool to have in your kitchen. It's fun and easy to use and provides a strong flame that's useful for a variety of tasks beyond the kitchen, especially lighting candles. If you're willing to overlook the lack of a fuel gauge and the fact that it's plastic, it's definitely worth considering.

Like the style but has Plastic body, no refill window
I like the style of this torch. I got it thinking it was metal and would have some weight to it, have a nice hand feel. To my surprise, it is plastic. That’s not a total deal breaker because I still like it. But it would really up the value for money as well as quality, obviously.I love that it has a locking feature that you can use while the flame is on as well as while the flame is off so it can’t be turned on by young children, etc.It has an adjustable flame too. When the dial is turned all the way up, the flame is HUGE. NOT JOKING. it is easy to light one handed which is nice. One major downside is that it doesn’t have a refill window to let you know when you’re low on butane or to be able to see how much butane you’re putting in. That may be a deal breaker for some people. It’s not a huge issue for me, an annoyance more than anything. At the time that I ordered this, it was $16.98. At that price point, I thinkit’s bit on the expensive side for the quality. The style is cool though and does add to its value, but like I said earlier, if it was metal and had a refill window, I feel like that would most definitely make it worth the money and even more. Just my opinion.

Burns through butane
I'm not sure if the butane tank on this thing is just very small, or it's really burning through butane that fast, but it only lasts about 3 seconds after I fill it.Otherwise, I like how easy it is to use - the one-handed operation is nice.

Versatile and efficient
This Refillable Butane Torch combines functionality with a sleek design that fits comfortably in your hand. The small handgun design is fun.Whether you're caramelizing the top of a crème Brulé, melting cheese on a savory dish, or even starting a bonfire outdoors, this torch proves to be an indispensable, versatile helper. It's refillable so you can easily replenish the butane fuel whenever needed. The adjustable flame control ensures precise heat application, giving you the flexibility to achieve the perfect finish on your culinary creations every time. It's also equipped with a reliable safety lock. Its compact size makes it convenient to store in any kitchen drawer or carry with you for outdoor adventures. My only minor gripe is that the torch doesn't come pre-filled with butane, which would have been a convenient addition. However, this is a small inconvenience considering the torch's overall quality and performance.Whether you're creating gourmet dishes or igniting a bonfire under the stars, this torch delivers exceptional results every time.

Not a fan of the styling of it, but it works great!
My only complaint about this is how much it looks like a firearm. I'm sure that was somewhat intentional, and I guess it would be hard to make this style of torch that doesn't look like one. However, it is scarily close to one, and could be easily mistaken for one if you were using it in public. That said, it produces a fantastic flame that we've used to light a campfire, and for the sugar topping on some creme brulee that I picked up from the local warehouse store. It managed to do its job just perfectly on both of the tasks that I've put it to so far. Overall, I'm happy with it, even if it looks less like a torch than other items.
