Great bow, but here's a better option for the scope (not the Oracle X)
The crossbow community is excited about this bow because with it Tenpoint apparently has fixed some long-standing problems with their high-end bows. That would be great news.Specifically, they have added a new dry-fire mechanism that doesn't require you to send your bow back for repairs, and a picatinny rail that is longer and doesn't bounce like a diving board. The problem is the Garmin Xero® X1i Crossbow Scope would not be my #1 choice to go with this bow. It mounts too high and has a fixed 3.5X magnification which is too limiting. Not only are you unable to change your magnification on the target, but at 3.5X, the field of view at 100 yards is only 26 feet, which is really narrow. A narrow field of view makes it more difficult and time consuming to locate your target in the scope because it's like you're looking though a soda straw. If you can afford to buy this awesome bow, consider pairing it with the Sig Sauer EASY6-BDX LPVO 1-6X scope, which has the built-in ballistic computer for crossbows, and a wide field-of-view (106 feet at 100 yards, nearly 4 times wider view than the Garmin), something you absolutely want for short range (crossbow) shooting. And then to turn this into a rangefinding scope, just add your choice of Sig BDX rangefinder and Sightlok RF-1 mount which enables the rangefinder to co-witness with the scope.Actually it's too bad Tenpoint isn't offering that combination from the factory. If you found this information useful, please let me know. Thank you!
