My Dad has a 6 gallon tank with a curved front. I clean it every week when I visit him and you can see through the glass when I get there. He always feels bad that it is so messy. I have searched for something to help when I finally found this and he LOVES it! It is small enough to work on the curved surface so he drags it around and cleans the tank. I’ve tried several magnetic cleaners over the years to remove moss and algae buildup, but this is by far the best one I’ve used. Even on my bowed-front tank, it doesn’t miss a spot. It grips well, scrubs thoroughly, and doesn’t come loose like some of the others I've tried. Idk that it’s any better than the sponge I use. But it does work and it’s a good size for smaller tanks. Cons..not incredibly smooth, makes the tank vibrate as you slide it. I got it too close to the edge and it came undone and sank like a rock to the bottom of the tank. The magnet was strong enough to bring it back to the glass so I could slide it back to the top. It took a little practice…but I also have a nosey fish who like to “help” and got in the way a bit.

This little tool was a great find. The magnet is very strong and has no trouble at all removing algae from my aquarium walls. The best feature for me is that the scrubber inside the tank follows the outer magnet smoothly—even around corners—without becoming disengaged. That alone saves me a lot of time. Other magnetic scrubbers I’ve used force me to bring both pieces to the surface, separate them, and reconnect on the next pane of glass. This scrubber is a real time saver and works exactly as it should. I highly recommend it.

I was really surprised with how powerful the magnet is on this scrubber. For the price it does the job just fine. I have a 10 gallon tank for my betta fish, and super hard water where I live that causes build up (I do 75% distilled water from the store, and 25% tap water to get perfect parameters). It will take some time to scrape off the hard water deposits, but it blows through algae no problem! Pros: small & convenient, strong magnet, removes algae with ease, and great price Cons: you have to go slow or it vibrates and makes noise that could scare fish (mine wasn’t fazed by it in the slightest, he was curious), takes some time to get hard water deposits off All in all, this device is handy as heck and certainly helps me with my dreaded tank cleanings. Seems durable like it’ll last a while, and for the price I’m very happy. In the video, I had algae spreading across the tank, and I show how it’s used and the progress it made.
