Woodworm Cricket iBat 235 Junior Cricket Bat

My grandson (6) has just been promoted to junior nets and so is getting kitted properly for first time. He is a tacker and this '0' size fits him perfectly. Living in Solihull Ethan's batting idol is Ian Bell and so I was intrigued to see what people said about his Woodworm bats... apart from 1 review on this site they were very positive ...especially on the pure cricket sites. Seeing ths 235 at such a good price for an English blade I ordered one and was knocked out by the quality. An old friend was a batmaker for Slazengers when their bats were made in Wakefield,and he too was amazed at the outstanding value offered in the 235 range. My grandson was of course delighted with it but to be honest that was a total given !! One last thing... one reviewer downgrades the bat saying it has not got a sprung handle...I phoned to check this and was told it WAS sprung and so ordered one..... SURE ENOUGH THE 3 SPRING RUBBERS ARE CLEARLY VISIBLE!!! I think that review should be totally disregarded!

I bought this bat as a surprise for my son, but when it arrived there were several issues. Firstly, it didn't look the same as the bat illustrated. The round black sticker was stuck on off centre and said IBAT instead of IB, there was no blue toe guard as in the photo of the bat I thought i was buying and, when I turned the bat over, a rather shoddily finished splice (pictured) was revealed, which made me wonder how long the bat would last. Maybe I just got a bad bat out of a batch, but it was hugely disappointing. I would add that it came with no information about weight or how to care for the bat. Just bubble wrapped in a box

Brilliant bat and the price is excellent for the quality. I have bought kids bats twice the price and they are not as good. My 7 (soon to be 8) year old son loves the look and especially the middle.

Purchased for my nephew, a bit of a blind purchase as it was cheap for a branded cricket bat. Arrived, 2 spring, great bow, nice sweet spot - great place for a young child to start! Nice product, feels well balanced. good value for money.

Swift delivery and also timely response from seller when I had a question on the design of the bat handle. The ball off the middle seems to be okish, not as punchy as a Gray Nicholls I've previously bought from a different seller on Amazon. Hopefully will improve as I knock in more and as it ages.Early days just yet, but can't complain about the service so far.

Looks brilliant to me but it’s for my granddaughter for her birthday just after Christmas so we’ll have to see!
