An absolute amazing set for the price

Bought these for my son for his new apartment and definitely need to get a set for myself. They appear well made and look beautiful. We were missing a knife when the set arrived but it was quickly replaced and the new set had all of them in it.

Sturdy set..This is my first set for my new house,they feel heavy and sturdy. The blades are quiet sharp, worth every single penny, highly recommended !!!

This was a set for my son moving out on his own. What an awesome first knife set. The full tang feels sturdy, handles feel comfortable in your hand. Nice and sharp and an excellent price. I'm not sure how much he'll use them, but I will when I come to visit!

I long ago learned the value of paying more for better tools and after my wife's passing I have slowly replaced all the kitchen utensils with top quality items. Good knives make meal prep so much easier as I chop and slice. All my knives are better than average quality and I had been keeping them sharp, but I got lazy this winter. Opening up this set, I was impressed with the heft of them, the triple-tang construction and how eaily each of them that I tried easily sliced into a sheet of paper. When I tried it with my chef's knife, it failed miserably until I got out the whetstone and put a proper edge back on it. The Damascus steel pattern doesn't hurt. Most of my friends won't know that it is not Damascus steel and I see no probem with this steel. The shears have a quality feel to them and are very sharp. I am tempted to put all my knives in a box for the Salvation Army and keep this set, but a favorite niece is getting married in two weeks and I am going to give it to the happy couple. Maybe they will realize how nice these knives are and consider them as a family heirloom in the future.

Let me start by saying I am by no means a knife conneseur. This is my second set of knives ever, and I bought them because the wood handles started splitting on my first set. I realized at this price, I would be compromising quality, but I just wanted something that could slice through tomatoes and such and go in the dishwasher. These came too dull for that, so I had to sharpen them. The metal is also warped visibly, but ok, fine, I need a knife not a statement piece. 3ish months in and I am seeing rust on the blade of my favorite from this set. I'm starting to think I should give up on sets and just buy one, very good, machine washable knife.
