I'm a welding instructor . It purchased 2 sonnler wolf heads and 1 deer head. I started with the wolf's head. It was alil difficult to understand the instructions at first. After a few hours I finally understood them. Lol 😆 this is not for beginners!! But I loved the challenge! The metal is very thin but it's weldable. (Tig only) I was very happy with the final outcome. The deer head went together with ease. Again its very thin wld like to have it in alil thicker metal! As a welding instructor I'd love to see more projects like this outta thicker materials so I cld give to students and first timers! I will be ordering the eagle's head next semester. Again I'd like to see more welding projects like this just needs to be alil thicker materials so more people cld enjoy this project.

I bought this as a fun award prize for my welding crew. It....did not go as planned.What was meant to be a fun little project resulting in a cool and badass trophy, turned into the Team Building exercise from hell that no one asked for. Like who even designed this blueprint? They clearly forgot colorblind people exist, you need a microscope to read half of it and overall assessment: Beginners kit my ass.After six months, 3 reworks, enough swearing and yelling to make a platoon of Marines proud, and at least 1 thrown tool...its almost complete. Does it look badass? Yes. Was it worth it? Well that all depends.Looking for revenge on someone but want to be subtle about it? This is absolutely the gift you should get them. And then ask frequently how it's going. Trust me, you'll get your money's worth of sadistic pleasure. But if you are looking to retain your employees, and not be on HRs radar for constant incidents of Violence in the Workplace, or accused of creating a Hostile Work Environment. .. maybe just stick with gift cards.

This is definitely a challenging puzzle! Clean everything with acetone first (clean the white film coat off the stainless) and Number your pieces with red and blue sharpie after laying out your pieces exactly as shown in the diagram. Bend each main numbered piece first ( 1 through 12 ) . There is a left and right duplicate so pre bending left and right side duplicates into shape will help keep everything symmetrical by comparison. Be aware that 90 degree bends will most likely snap so be prepared to tack those immediately. This was much larger than expected, and I am very happy with outcome. Patience is a virtue.

horrible directions on fit up, pieces break off when bending to fab. very frustrating. been welding for over 40 years and I hate this project so much I threw it in my scrap bin.

Pulse tig if you can and tack weld the heck outta If it before running weld. Do shorter runs not all in the same spot to prevent warping

This project is a lot of fun and the finished piece is awesome. I would however caution anyone buying this that you need A LOT of patience. I frequently couldn’t get pieces to line up (my fault) and frequently the pieces would snap off (design’s fault).

The media could not be loaded. Took about 9 hours. I recommend actually following the instructions for build order rather than just going for it. The design is really precise and if you take care in the fit-up it will pay off if you fully weld it.
