I wouldn’t say this prevented my girl from nail biting, her words were ‘this tastes yakky!’ But it definitely didn’t stop her biting, I suppose it depends on the child, some could tolerate the taste, and some couldn’t, we have used it but I wouldn’t purchase it again.

Bought this to try and stop my toddler from sucking his thumb because it’s becoming a little too much these days. He no longer only does it to comfort himself but constantly has it in his mouth to the point that the shape of his front teeth are starting to get affected.Anyway, my wife and I both tried it to confirm its potency as well as to make sure that it does not harm our child. I can confirm that it tastes horrid and takes ages to get the taste out of your mouth without the aid of something sweet.Put it on the kids thumb, waited, he put it in his mouth, took his thumb out and made a face and then just put it back in as though nothing happened.The second time we put it on his thumb, he did even make a face. He is not at all fazed by this. I can not for the love of God explain how or why. He is just built different.Long story short this was useless to us and we quickly abandoned it.

I swear is just water is not work at all, then i tryed myself just to know how the taste and find out is just water. Avoid

It does work, but the taste isn’t as strong as expected. Needs frequent reapplication, but it helps deter nail-biting.
