2 Steps to quick use: Step One - Before every use, turn the timer clockwise a full round from '0' to '55'. Step Two - To set your required time, turn the timer anti-clockwise until you come to the required time marker.
No battery needed. The Mechanical Timer has an inbuilt alarm to alert when the time up. The alarm is very loud and can be heard easily within a radius of about 10 m under low noise conditions.
