I was able to remove several links from a band that was too large, but the metal needles on the screw device are extremely fragile. I resorted to using the hammer method (which took quite a few strikes to push out the pin) which worked much better. I haven't needed to use the other tools yet since it is a new watch. The instructions were easy to follow. It was reasonable for the price.

For years I could have a new watch battery installed at Walmart. Ours no longer has anyone working in jewelry so I bought the new battery and could not get my watch back open until I bought this item. With it I was successful in installing a new battery. Now my Timex is ticking like it should be!! Such a GREAT tool set that really works!!

This kit simply does not have everything you need. You need a micro screwdriver and tweezers. This kit is absent those. I returned it and got the kit with "everything."

Looking for a small tool kit and this one seems most versatile and contains the most essential tools for strap and battery replacement.
