The minimum lateral installation clearance is the amount of space needed around the entire trampoline once it's been assembled. This is a 4 ft. (1.22m) clearance around the perimeter of any Springfree Trampoline which must be maintained at all times to ensure full and proper functionality of the trampoline. This minimum clearance is required to ensure a safety zone exists around the trampoline when someone is jumping on the trampoline. This clearance is required to ensure that there are no fences, trees, or walls (Etc.) within the clearance – therefore, if someone was to fall into the net, they would have the safety clearance, and the enclosure rods would have the space to bow outwards in order to push the jumper back onto the trampoline.

Yes, adults can definitely jump on it. I cannot remember the weight limit but it exceeded anyones weight in my family.
