Buy this with the transmitter
This item should be included with the transmitter. There is no info as to what openers need it, and which ones don't. Therefore one needs to wait after installation if their opener needs the power supply.

It worked on my 850lm garage door commercial reciever. The reciever did not come with a charger.

Needed for Liftmaster 850LM receiver
Annoying that the Liftmaster 850LM receiver (for garage door openers) does NOT come with 120 volt power supply. Have to order this separately.

Required to power Liftmaster 85LM
Very recently I purchased a new (aftermarket) garage door remote control receiver for my Liftmaster garage door opener. However, it didn't come with a power supply. So I bought this. - This power supply has the ROUND end on it - Perfect fit for the 850LM door opener receiver - The length of the cord is just over 4 feet long (50 inches) I wish that this part was included with my door opener receiver. But it is nice to know that we can buy one at a reasonable price here. It looks well made. I needed to use it with an extension cord.

Broke after a week
I bought this for my 850LM but it only lasted for a week before it broke. The amperage is also too high for the 850LM, as the 850LM uses 70 milliamps max when using DC power but the power supply is 1 Amp. The power indicator doesn’t light up as shown in the picture.

Working great to power a replacement garage door opener receiver
My Chamberlain Liftmaster garage door opener (Series 1345 from the year 2006) did not supply power to the replacement 'garage door opener receiver' I installed. This power adapter did the trick! I only had a single outlet for my garage door opener, though, so I had to buy an AC power "Y" cable to split the outlet. This power adapter powers the unit just fine. Hope it lasts for a long time. Just wish I had a way to secure it to the outlet (screw hole in plug or something). The garage door opener outlet is on the ceiling and so the plug has gravity pulling against it. Hope it stays in!
