So cute!
I saw this at my local library and loved it so much I instantly bought it as a gift for my new baby niece. The art reminds me of a book I loved as a kid about Frederick the mouse. I liked the flow of the story and it had very cute characters (little bugs). I like the idea of teaching little girls that bugs and critters are interesting, not creepy, so this is a fun way to normalize that. I also liked that the main character was a girl with dreams related to STEM. The book is absolutely not preachy or agenda-driven, but I want my niece to have a balance of influences so she knows she can be an astronaut or a ballerina or a movie star or the president (an idea her parents support- I’m not pushing my agenda either!)Overall, super cute on its own and also something I feel good about gifting. The overall message is about working towards your dreams and never giving up - a message that applies to anyone
