Huge fan of Singapore
I love that I can just buy new workbooks when the next kid is old enough for each level and pull the text book back out of the archives. It saves me a few $$s. It's convenient to have all of the kids' math work for the semester in one place, so I can just stick the workbook in a filing cabinet when they're finished with it. I'm a big believer in consumables because in the end I think they're cheaper, and if you're not into keeping things just in case the state comes calling, like I am, then you can just stick it in the recycling when you're finished with each level and not have the clutter. I'm a huge Singapore fan because the illustrations are so fun, the instruction is easy to understand, and it's easy to incorporate manipulatives to help give the kids a hands on way to understand what they're being presented.

Start to build strong math learning ability from this book
The media could not be loaded. I bough these math text books for my 4 years old son during pandemic. It is the important time for him to start math learning and here we are in the year 2020.I was educated in Asia before college and we know how important it is to have good math basis. The addition and subtraction are mainly done by mind calculation not on the calculator no matter how big the number is.This text book or math teaching system is well designed for English speakers. At the beginning, I like it start from counting numbers and connecting them from symbols to letters. The work book makes exercises fun, my son can concentrate on the book for almost one hour.Overall, it’s a good math learning system.

Great program
I'm using both Saxon and Primary Mathematics for my first grader. We are reviewing both curriculums to see which one will suit our family the best. Both are great programs but my daughter seems to enjoy Primary Math the best. A piece of advice if you plan to use Primary Math is to make sure you purchase the teachers manuals. They are in depth and give the parent a guide to follow.

Great series for teaching math at home
I started out using the Primary Mathematics at the recommendation of a 2nd grade teacher with my daughter when she was in first grade. Since trying out Level 2, I went back and bought Level 1 for my younger child. The Primary Mathematics series from Singapore Math has colorful illustrations inside, and a decent number of problems to do. If you want a more exhaustive number of problems, Singapore Math has another series without color illustrations, but with more problems to answer. The other advantage of this series other many others is that it gives enough instruction, with examples, to allow children to teach themselves. This is important to me as I have multiple children, and it helps me when one of them can independently do an activity, allowing me to multitask.

Excellent choice
This program does a great job of introducing new concepts. I was a bit worried about my 5-year-old learning multiplication and division (they are just introduced in 1Aand 1B) since she becomes frustrated easily, but she picked up the concepts well with the simple method of teaching. This program was just the right length for our Sept-June homeschool year, too. Love it. She did well with 1A and 1B in Kindergarten and we have purchased 2A and 2B for 1st grade.

The workbooks were very good but if you are looking for a curriculum like ...
The workbooks were very good but if you are looking for a curriculum like saxon/horizon/abeka ect... for home schooling this is not it. the "textbook" is not a curriculum. It is really just another workbook that your child gives you the answers rather than writing them down and I did not find it particularly useful. There is no script or any help with actually teaching your child. The teaching on basic addition and subtraction is excellent and thorough and Singapore's claim to fame is teaching to add using the base method which is the in thing in public school right now. I have to add #'s quickly accurately in my head in my occupation and I used this method for years without realizing it had a name. I was happy to be able to teach it to my children tis method. It is very complicated though and requires at least average but more than likely above average intellect. The other issue that I have with this book is that >1/2 is spent on additions and subtraction. It goes into adding and subtracting larger sums and multiplication in first grade but is really skimpy on everything else like telling time, measurements, coins, and reading temperatures.

Best Math out there!
I have used this system with my two older daughters (17, 15) when I homeschooled them. My youngest (6) is in public school. But I choose to still purchase to do with her at night and on the weekends. My older daughters are both very strong in math. 17yo was one year ahead in math and 15yo is taking college math courses. I, personally, am not good at math. So I attribute their success to this math system!

Loving these!
First year homeschooling here, and I am loving this for my 6 year old. The textbook lays out concepts really well and make figuring out what pages in the workbook to do easy. Even my husband can handle it!
