Great set
This is a great set of placemats for all the family to hone our geography skills. I especially like the Mexico and Central America placemat because it’s important to the U.S. but we know shockingly little about it. I like that all the Mexican states are in different shades of the same color, then the Central American countries are separate colors. My two complaints about the set are (1) Where's Australia? and (2) The world map isn't an equal-area projection map. I prefer the Peters projection. We found a Hobo-Dyer projection placemat and threw out the world map from this set. The other maps were still worth the price we paid.

durable, laminated placemat MAPS.
these placemat (maps) are well made, durable, and my grandkids love them. they make learning fun. and, since countries and borders have changed in the past 50 years, I learn from them, too.

Great set of learning placemats
It's not our first purchase of Painless Learning placemats, we bought this set to replace our old worn out mats. The quality is great. The maps, despite different some outdated and some funny typos, provide an excellent learning chance without a child noticing. The picture itself is very sturdy, it's the edges of the laminate which eventually will start peeling apart (after many, many years of heavy use, I think it was 6-8years for us). We had a minor problem with our set which seller solved immediately. As a set, this maps set is a great value and will serve for many years.

Not just for kids!
We decided to refresh our own late 30’s/early 40’s memories at lunch/dinner time, and these are perfect! Learn a little something AND they protect my cloth placemats so I don’t have to hand wash those so frequently, ha! We get a kick out of my husband or I spilling food now (Lasagna just invaded Alaska!).I didn’t know that Russia was a trans-continental country! Asia but also partly in Europe! For some reason, I’d assumed Russia’s western border was the dividing line between Europe and Asia. Never stop learning!

Great maps!
Only disappointed that some countries and continents are only shown in full on the world map. Would have liked to have every country close up. Otherwise these are great!

Love to see the world and it’s countries islands and territories in this format!
Where is the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico??? And Guam. On the part of the map area they exist. Only on the world map. I’m confused why DR and PR are not in the Central America map.
