Wonderful tool to pull focus and high quality
I picked this up on sale to use with my Red Komodo to help pull focus quickly. It's a brilliant little piece of technology and it works great. It's smooth and has good feedback and resistance when adjusting your focus or zoom. Tilta makes some great hardware and I've used them throughout the years without any issue. It's certainly worth it, if you're doing run-and-gun type stuff or need to switch focal points quickly and accurately. Will definitely buy again for my other cameras.

Very sleek design
Very quality controller I wish I could’ve used it with my older motors, but it was not compatible but now I’m thinking about buying a whole set

Yeah…junk.
Don’t waste your money. Took a month to get it to work…their support would email like once a month…and it stopped working after I could return it. It looks good…sitting in my box of junk.

product gotchas
Cons: (hold on to your hats) The Tilta website is terribly out of date. It is impossible to know if you have the latest firmware through documentation on their website. As of this posting their website is 1 full year out of date and doesn't include any acknowledgment of the latest firmware version number. You have to trust the device to tell you that you have the latest firmware once you connect it to WiFi. Oh, so once you connect it to WiFi and you turn the unit off, it won't remember. You have to reprogram the connection to WiFi every single time you turn it on. Oh so since we're talking about connectivity, let's talk Bluetooth pairing. Nope, it doesn't remember that either. You have to turn BT on every single time you turn it on and pair it again. Charging indicator? NOPE. You have to turn the device on to know if it is charging or not. Connect the wrong type USB-C and you might not be charging if you didn't turn it on to check. Yes, you have to turn it on to determine if you are charging. (facepalm) DJI RS2/3 compatibility is listed, but again, the website is out of date. The tech support rep I spoke to says it is compatible with the RS4 units as well. I don't have one so I can't prove it. I wanted to know for future proofing of my purchase. Pro: The wheel does feel nice, rotates smoothly, and it works with the Blackmagic Camera app on an iPhone 16 Pro.
