This is a great palette for mixing paint.
II love this item. It's well made and sturdy. It has a smooth side and a very slightly rough side. The 12" x 12" is a perfect size.The only reason I gave this one star is because it had chip on one corner, with a jagged edge.Edit: I was able to return the damaged item, and received a replacement.

this is the second plate i’ve owned and i prefer this one. the first one i got off etsy and it’s fine, but kind of small and only part of it is frosted. i like that this is thicker and solid, i don’t feel like i’m going to break it. a good price for a beginner

shattered with minimal use - poor quality
Would not recommend. This plate shattered into numerous jagged pieces the second time I used it for grinding pigment. It was used properly, stored carefully, and handled gently, yet is just exploded into shards while I was mulling. The pieces were irregularly sized and conchoidally fractured, leading me to believe this item was not tempered properly and the overall quality was low.
