I've read quite a few reviews prior to buying this like i always do when purchasing items from amazon, a few reviews its quite clear to me they didn't read all of the instruction properly. Firstly this reel is absolutely fantastic it comes with all of the attachments to plug into your outside tap, it also comes with a template on the box itself which makes installation so much easier. also the wall attachment can be detached from the reel to make installation easier plus getting to the screws to attach to the wall.

1-Use a Hozelock non return connector on tap end . 2-On first use pull the hosepipe right out of the hosereel and lock it with lever. 3-Turn the tap on and fill the hosepipe with water and operate spray gun to let air out and then close spray gun. 4- unlock the hosereel with lever and allow the hose to retract to the stop. 5- Follow these instructions and the hosereel will operate smothly and not kink.

I bought this to replace an old hoselock hose reel I'd had for many years, and which lived outside in all weathers, and gave me excellent service. This new one is very similar and easy to fit. I knew what to do, but there is an excellent set of photos showing the steps to install in great detail. This will help even the least confident purchaser to install the reel. I fixed mine to a short teak post concreted into the ground, instead of directly to the rendered wall of my house. This works very well. I'm very happy with the new one and I'm pleased to say that it works smoothly and auto locks and with a pull of six inches or more will unlock and rewind the hose. Time will tell how well this one will last, but it certainly looks and feels sturdy and well made.

Great product. Use every day for work. Simple to slot off mooring bracket and bring indoors in freezing weather. It makes life so much easier too.

Good product and much cheaper then in garden centres etc

Very pleased with this retractable hosepipe, I have just moved and have a large garden and it is much easier to water all the garden now. The hose dose not kink like my previous hosepipe. It is easy to recoil the hose instead of leaving it out. A friend attached it to the wall for me which was a hassle free process. Good quality and value.

Let's be honest. If you water a lot you will be unwinding your hosepipe multiple times day after day, year after year. This Hoselock 30 metre auto reel hosepipe attaches to a wall and really does make life easier. I have mine set at shoulder height. This way I can grab the end of the hose and walk up the garden with it for watering. The hosepipe will lock into whatever position you want. When I am finished I give the hosepipe a tug, and then the auto reel mechanism starts to wind the hosepipe back into it's place. No more creases, no more kinks, and definitely no more hand winding! I have started out with budget pipes over the years, then progressed into Hoselock and have upgraded from single hosepipes, to windable hosepipes, and now finally this, the king of their range. The auto reel. So far I have used this a few dozen times. It simply works. I have zero issues. Assembly and wall mounting was very easy, even for me who isn't the best at diy! I just aligned the bracket on the wall and used a spirit level placed on the top to get it level. Then I used a marker to mark the holes, and drilled to the right depth. Overall in conclusion, it is what it is. A hosepipe. Hoselock have earned a good name mainly and this product will definitely make your life easier. Sure it's a little extra money on the initial outlay but I can wholeheartedly say it is worth it. Highly recommended, and a big thumbs up from me!

I am 70 and have owned many hose reels. This is the best. Light weight and so easy. I brought another one for my front yard.

Great hose reel and hose with quality second to none! The clever and nifty features such as removable fitting in the reel, lead hose cover, lockable features on the mount and main reel add value and convenience. The retractable and lock mechanism feels solid and works well. It also comes with excellent instructions and wall mounting kit - just 4 plugs and screws and you're good to go. I have used other reels before but the quality doesn't compare. I couldn't recommend this product any more.
