AWOL VISION LTV-3000 Pro 4K 3D Ultra Short Throw Triple Laser Projector, Dolby Vision & Atmos, HDR10+, 150" UST Laser TV Home Theater Projector

I was surprised by how large this projector is, but once we had it professionally installed on the ceiling, it turned out to be a great choice. Adjusting the picture took some time since our screen was already in place, but after a bit of fine-tuning, everything lined up perfectly. The image quality is excellent — especially with a good screen — and the projector is very quiet during use. The remote works well, though because the projector is mounted on the ceiling, you sometimes have to stand in the right spot to change settings. One of the best things is that, since it’s overhead, nothing blocks the image. It’s perfect for presentations, movies, or anything where people tend to walk in front of the screen. As long as no one is standing right next to the screen, the picture stays clear. The built-in sound is surprisingly good even without external speakers. Overall, it’s a great projector. We’ve been using it for a long time, and it still performs like new.

Got the AWOL LTV-3500 during the Black Friday sales. Decent discount but still a bit pricey, but for the image quality, brightness and screen real estate it is incredible. I paired the projector with a 110” diagonal VividStorm PRO Slimline tab-tensioned ALR screen specifically designed for Ultra Short Throw projectors and it is an astonishing image with even the massive 10’ of windows on the entire side of our family room and the blinds open. Even more impressive with the blinds closed or once it’s evening. We have a 77” LG OLED tv in the same room and while the AWOL’s blacks are not quite as inky as the LG’s, they are pretty darned good and no projector at any price currently made can truly compete with OLED black levels. The 43% increase in screen size over the 77” LG is also massive. Sadly, given our existing furniture and room layout I can’t have the AWOL always in place and in use but for our frequent movie days/nights on the weekends and to watch football we will be using the AWOL. In the future when we replace the current wall unit, we will either sell or move the LG to our bedroom and use the AWOL exclusively. It absolutely can replace a TV with a proper ALR screen, even in a room with little light control. Intitial setup was easy and straightforward, but it was a little complicated getting the projector aligned perfectly to the screen - are least the first time I did it. After getting it right and learning the process and marking exactly where to place the small and short table I built just for the AWOL, I can get it situated and aligned in around 3-4 minutes and we are golden. Anxiously awaiting the firmware update which will enable Dolby Vision. In the meantime it still looks awesome. The short video I uploaded was from YouTube - the 4K Costa Rica video. The camera does not pick up the color quite correctly - the slight purplish hue is not the way my eyes see it in real life. My dogs love watching TV and will do so often for well over an hour straight, especially if there are animals on the screen. I have yet to make any adjustments to the picture, so that’s right out of the box - on Standard mode. Will be doing some calibration with my Spears & Munsil calibration disc his weekend and I’m sure it will be even better. Have yet to try out the 3D capability, that we’ll do this weekend with Avatar Blu-Ray 3D and I’ll post a further update. UPDATE: I got to test out the 3D, using the movie Gravity. It was amazing, comparable to how it looks in a 3D movie theater. The scene where the spacecraft flies through the satellite debris field is incredible. I used these 3D glasses from Amazon: https://a.co/d/gdpbGXD I have not tested or really tried the integrated audio as we have a 7.2 surround system with a Yamaha receiver. A suggestion to AWOL: perhaps consider another version of this projector without the integrated speakers, if it would mean a substantially smaller overall footprint. Most people paying this much for a projector and screen will almost certainly also have an AV receiver with multiple speakers - which will blow away any projector’s integrated audio solution.

Thought about getting a 4K laser projector for quite some time. Researched what was out there and found that most reviewers had good things to say about AWOL. A friend had the LTV-2500 and I got to see how well the projector performed first hand. I was impressed. My viewing space is not large - a 15x16 foot second floor loft, and with that limitation in mind, I decided that the LTV- 2500 and a floor rising ALR projector screen would fit those requirements. When they arrived, I admired the design and simplicity of the projector - it looks good. And I found set up to be incredibly easy. To ensure proper placement of the projector to the screen, I built a platform with adjustable legs so I could get the projector at the right height and distance to the screen. The initial set up of the LTV-2500 was very easy, with menus that were not vague or unclear, but specific as to input and next steps. The follow-on adjustments for projector alignment to the screen and focus were quick and not difficult to accomplish. I have my own Dolby ATMOS AV system, so connecting that to the 2500 was simple: nothing more than an HDMI cable and a Sound menu entry to specify an external sound system. Out of the box, using the standard Modes provided: Std, Game, PC, Movie, the colors were good. But there are plenty of reviewers out there with recommendations on the more complicated adjustments for white balance and color hue, brightness and saturation. And I utilized User Mode and these recommendations to dial in color balance for a picture I liked. Not as difficult as I thought it would be, and if you don’t like the result, you can always get the projector back to factory settings using the Restore function. My 2500 did not come with Dolby Vision (AWOL specs list it as Dolby Vision Ready), but per AWOL it was available as an update. So I contacted AWOL Customer Service and requested the update. Customer Service were very accessible and responsive via email and within a day or so, the update for Dolby Vision appeared in the projector Update menu. The update completed in just a minute or two, and WOW! What an improvement! The update adjusted mode and color settings specifically for DV and this made all the difference in picture quality bringing the 2500 up to near perfect. I adjusted white balance only slightly, to fine tune skin tone and didn’t touch color balance at all. One thing discussed in most LTV-2500 reviews is the overall brightness of the picture, and some reviewers think the 2500 is not bright enough under daylight ambient light conditions rather than a dark room. Specific to my room, which has a window behind the projection screen, this hasn’t been an issue when viewing during the day. Also, 3D seems to a major topic in reviews of AWOL projectors, and though I’ve viewed a few 3D dvd’s at my friends house through his LTV-2500, I don’t have a dvd player with 3D capability but hope to aquire one and check out this feature in the near future. For now, the LTV-2500 has proved to be the right choice in all the areas important to me: design of the unit, image quality, ease of use, price-point and customer service.

Ottimo e spettacolare, addirittura proiettato sul muro semplice si vedono peli e capelli singoli. Luce a bizzeffe, accensione istantanea e menù molto semplice e fluido. Per la multimedialità è inclusa una chiavetta Amazon Stick, ma potete usare una sorgente esterna tramite HDMI o una chiavetta vostra (che sia 4k sennò, eventuale materiale 4k, non verrà ottimizzato. Super silenzioso

Gleich vorweg, diese Bewertung bezieht sich ausschließlich auf den genannten Projektor - nicht die Kombination mit der bodenaufsteigenden Leinwand, obwohl ich beide Produkte von Awol gekauft habe. Zur Leinwand - die ich definitiv zur Steigerung der Bildqualität empfehle - gibt es eine separate Bewertung. Die Fragen, die ich mir vor dem Kauf gestellt habe, waren: - Kann ein solcher Laser TV meinen 65 Zoll Panasonic OLED ersetzen und mit einer enormen Bildschirmgröße das perfekte Heimkino liefern? - Ist eine problemlose Integration mit meinem Apple Tv 4k möglich und die Einbindung meiner Sonos Arc über eArc? - Wie steht es mit der Performance im hellen Raum, da ich bewusst den „großen“ Bruder mit 3.500 Lumen aus Kostengründen nicht kaufen wollte Der Awol Vision LTV 3000 Pro kommt toll verpackt daher. Ich habe ihn während der EM zum Sonderpreis von 2.999 Euro erworben - inkl. 2 3D Brillen sowie 150 Euro Rabatt über amazon. Das war für mich ausschlaggebend, mehr würde ich für einen Projektor aktuell nicht bezahlen. Sicher kann der Awol 3500 mehr in Sachen Lichtleistung - Stand jetzt bin ich aber 100% zufrieden. Im Paket selbst befindet sich neben diversen Kabeln und einer schicken Fernbedienung noch ein Fire TV Stick. Das ist wichtig, da sich Awol dazu entschieden hat, keine eigenen Streaming Apps in den Projektor zu integrieren. Ich finde das gut, da ich bei meinem OLED sowieso Apple Tv 4k nutze. Der Fire Stick kann beim Awol auf der Rückseite über HDMI in einem Fach verstaut werden - die Integration klappte im Test gut. Habe dann aber auf Apple TV umgestellt, was ebenfalls ohne Probleme ging. Dolby Atmos an meine Sonos Arc wurde problemlos über eArc weiter gegeben. Man kann sich natürlich auf die Lautsprecher des Awol verlassen. Diese sind ok; wer sich aber einen solchen Projektor für‘s Heimkino zulegt, sollte auch in eine gute Soundbar investieren. Zum Bild: Die Farbtreue ist klasse und das Bild lebhaft und hell! Im angehängten Bild kommt das nicht 100% rüber. Awol bietet zahlreiche Einstellungen für das Bild - sogar einen Filmmodus mit 24 fps. Für mich alles sehr intuitiv bedienbar - wenn auch die deutsche Übersetzung hier und da nicht passt. Dolby Vision über Apple Tv+ oder Netflix sieht super aus - vor allem im Modus hell. Wer möchte, kann sich Farben auch selbst einstellen, ich habe mich an die Default Einstellungen gehalten, die vor allem im Filmmodus toll sind. Ich empfehle auch allen die Kombination mit einer ALR Leinwand! Natürlich funktioniert alles auch auf weißer Wand. Auf meiner Raufasertapete wirkt das Bild bei weiten nicht so kräftig. Die Bewertung der Awol Leinwand erfolgt wie gesagt separat. Nun zur Kernfrage: Kann der Projektor einen Fernseher ersetzen? Für mich ein klares „kommt darauf an“! Bei einer 100 Zoll Leinwand sollte mindestens ein Abstand von 3,5 - 4m gegeben sein. Ich fand, dass man sonst leicht die Strukturen der Leinwand erkennt. Bei 100 Zoll erschlägt einen das Bild - im positive Sinn! Kinofeeling garantiert - auch in 3D (im Test mit Avatar 2 - und ja, 3D ist auch für mich eine tote Sache im Kino). Aber: Schwarzwerte und Helligkeit kommt mit Sicherheit nicht an einen Top-Line OLED ran, das sollte jedem bewusst sein! Nachts bei abgedunkeltem Raum ist der Abstand nur marginal - und im Hinblick auf die 100 Zoll bevorzuge ich den Projektor. Tagsüber ist das Bild gut, ich kann damit leben und habe natürlich nicht den Vergleich zum teureren Awol 3500. Dazu kommt, dass mein OLED im Tageslicht auch zu Spiegelungen neigt. Ein OLED oder ein guter LED TV mit 100 Zoll und mehr (dran denken, dass der Projektor bis zu 150 Zoll kann - sofern die Wandfläche ausreicht!) ist heute noch kaum erschwinglich. Im System mit der Leinwand habe ich knapp 4.500 Euro bezahlt, dafür gibt es von Panasonic max. einen 77 Zoll OLED. Dazu kommt, dass das Gewicht eines Fernsehers in dieser Größe nichts mehr für meine Trockenbauwand wäre ;-) Beachtet auch, dass ihr ein entsprechendes Setup im Wohnzimmer braucht! Für ein 100 Zoll Bild muss der Projektor ca. 28cm von der Wand wegstehen; das Gerät selbst ist ca. 32cm tief, so dass ihr mind. 60cm Abstand benötigt. Prüft auch unbedingt die Höhe eures Sideboards vs. Höhe der Leinwand bevor ihr euch das Gerät zulegt. Um das perfekte Bild einzustellen braucht ihr auch ein wenig Geduld. Infos dazu gibt es zahlreich im Netz. Für mich ist der Awol 3000 der perfekte Nachfolger meines OLED. Habe mich vor dem Kauf lange informiert, da Awol auch eine eher unbekannte Firma ist. Kaufgrund waren dann die durchweg positiven Bewertungen und die Tatsache, dass der Projektor neben HDR10+ auch Dolby Vision als einer der wenigen Projektoren kann in Verbindung mit 4k (auch wenn nur hochskaliert und nicht nativ). Gaming habe ich nicht getestet - ich nutze es mehr für Heimkino und mittlerweile auch normales TV Programm. Ich kann den Awol 3000 empfehlen, empfehle aber auch allen, die sich bei einem Laser TV nicht sicher sind, vorher ein Fachgeschäft aufzusuchen und das Bild zu beurteilen.
