First of all I am so shocked at the low reviews, people need to really readjust their expectations! If your mattress is old, uncomfortable and ready for the scrap heap then this is not going to miraculously transform it. You need a new mattress, or a thick memory foam topper that will cost well over £100-£150. This topper is designed to add an additional level of comfort to an already good mattress. If you have loose springs or dips in your mattress then this topper won't do anything to gloss over these issues! I also have to say that comparing the thickness of this to a summer duvet is out and out laughable!!! If you put this over yourself in summer you'd last 30 seconds before you were hyperventilating! Onto the review proper; what you get is a well made/constructed topper which is "smooshy". It has zero support, is flat and made specifically to add a little cushioning to your mattress. We have a good quality memory foam mattress with good support. We wanted this to add a little softness and it works a treat. It fits well over our mattress and meets the standard sizing for a king size. As I say DO NOT buy this for a lumpy, worn and ancient mattress, or if you have a bad back. You need to dig a little deeper into those pockets for that and fork out for a new one! DO buy this if you have a good decent mattress that isn't worn and has good support, but you just want to make it a little softer.

Reasonably priced, excellent topper! My mattress was too hard. It becomes comfortable and I can have good sleep after adding this topper, recommended.

We had an older spring mattress in the house that was getting uncomfortable to sleep on as the springs kept popping up, but we purchased the extra deep mattress topper and you can't feel the springs at all! It's a really brilliant extra level of comfortable to add to the bed, especially for the price-point! It's very soft, almost like an extra duvet between you and the bed. It's not firm or like memory foam! We did initially think that it would be a bit thicker, I would say it's 10cm in the very middle but the sides don't have the same thickness! Another review mentioned that it seems like it wasn't filled up enough, especially for the extra deep version, and I would agree with that! That being said, it doesn't take away from comfort or functionality at all! It fits our double-bed perfectly, and helps with a good night's sleep. It also adds an extra layer of warmth, which has been an added bonus in the Winter months. I would definitely recommend! Edit: After a month of use, the mattress topper is still keeping us comfy and cushioned every night! We thought it would sink a little bit, but it's stayed the same and has been adding an extra bit of support to our mattress. It definitely keeps the bed VERY warm, just something to keep in mind! We would still recommend!

This is the second similar Silentnight mattress topper I have owned. I bought the first one for a good quality memory foam mattress that was a good six years old at the time and the most recent for a better quality mattress that is a few months old. I've read that the toppers need to be changed every 3-5yrs, so I've taken the earliest opportunity to do so, albeit there is plenty of mileage left in the original. I turn it top to tail every time I change the bedding to ensure even wear and found that the corner straps hold the topper to the mattress with minimal movement. I have never found the need to get my tape measure out to check the thickness as, each has been consistently both soft, supportive and comfortable over time. There is no extra heat generated. This, after all, is a mattress topper, not a mattress and is designed to provide a secondary function in enhancing the original mattress, not as a sticking plaster over an existing problem. Quality aside, it is currently great value for money, as I paid £43.99 three years ago and only £29.99 this time round. Overall, if bought for the right reasons, I have no hesitation in recommending this mattress topper, which has helped me have a good night's sleep both in comfort and in a bit of luxury.

I bought this Silentnight Airmax 1000 Mattress Topper when I was moving into an unfurnished home, but later had to return it due to a change of plans. Still, I was really impressed with the quality. Look: Clean, neat design that gives a premium feel. Functionality: Provides great comfort and extra support, making the mattress feel more luxurious. Size: True to description, fits perfectly without any issues. Smell: No unpleasant odor, fresh straight out of the packaging. Waterproof: Feels durable and well-protected against spills. Pain Relief: The support level seemed ideal for easing back and body pressure. Even though I returned it, I can confidently say it’s a high-quality product worth the price. If I needed a topper again, I would definitely choose this one. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for comfort, quality, and design!

Comfy well designed mattress topper. Easy to secure via well placed elasticated . Sizing was accurate and fitted the bed perfectly. Delivered in a compressed vacuum sealed package, but once opened state, it expands and can be fitted ASAP

Nice enough mattress topper. It’s quite thin and doesn’t puff up to let the air flow through as you’d think by the name and design. It’s quite comfortable and soft but the straps to hold onto the corner of the mattress are completely useless and ping off immediately. You basically just have to try and keep it in place with your sheet and it moves as you sleep on it.

Compra este sobrecolchon por mi cama a usar en verano. Funciona bien, mi cama es tan comodo y fresco con este producto que lo dejo puesto sobre el colchon en invierno tambien, y mi duermo muy comodo todo el ano. Una vez a la semana, si el tiempo mi permite, lo pongo en la terraza a airear antes de ponerlo sobre la cama otra vez. Es lavable a maquina y puede secar en secadora a temperatura suave. Es un buen producto. Lo recomendarla

Ordered the extra thick which is advertized as 10cm of comfort. It is lrss than 2cm thick after a few days since removed from vacuum packaging. Noticed no change in comfort level of the bed. Verry dissapointed Will not buy from this supplier again.
