A Good product; perfect for the beach!
I read all the reviews and purchased this beach lounger with some trepidation. I am an old school Senior Citizen, who has been spending 6 weeks in Miami Beach for a few years now. I threw away my old plastic web lounger because a few of the pieces had broken, and then when I tried to find a new one, I was very sorry to learn they are no longer available, except for over $60. It was too late; the old one was gone, so I started searching and read all of the reviews. While most of the reviews for this product are good, I was frightened by the ones where the material had torn after only a few uses, and even worse, stories of people falling because the lounger collapsed. Some said it might not work well on the beach, so I ordered a much more expensive, taller lounger, that might be used as a camp cot, and when it arrived I immediately saw that it was way too heavy for me to carry from my condo to the beach, so I returned it. All the others even ones more expensive than this one, had the same mixed reviews , so I decided to take a chance on this one as I did not want to have to search for one when I arrived after a two day drive. This lounger arrived and I put it in my van in the box. When I unpacked it in Miami Beach, I carefully saved the box thinking there was a good chance I would have to return it. As I have said, I am a Senior Citizen, with both knees having been replaced. I am 5 feet 4 inches and weigh 148. I very carefully fixed the straps, put this on my back, and went to the beach. I made sure I put the foot part down first, watching the top, and I made sure the the legs were locked. Before I got on it, I made sure it was pressed down in the sand, and I carefully straddled it, in the middle portion, Nothing awful happened. It did not fall with me on the beach, and it did not rip. I waited to review it until I have used it 10 times in 2 hour sessions. I will be happy if it just lasts this season. So far, no rips, and no accidents. Even the back straps have still held firm. Every day I expect them to rip, but they have not. I figure if that's the only problem, the lounger is very light and I can either have the straps sewn, or just carry the lounger. It is much lighter than the old school ones I have been using. When I get out of the lounger I have made certain to swing both legs together to the sand, twist my body, and hold on to both middle bars, and push myself up, I have had no trouble getting out that way, and have had no damage. I use am umbrella and am not trying to tan, so I have not tuned over, but just read, with the back extended and my feet flat. I do like the backpack straps. I have not used the little bag. I think that's a good idea, but I have a beach bag I like to leave right next to me, putting my phone and my kindle in and out of it, rather than having to get up and go around to the back of the lounger to get things. So far I am more than pleased with this purchase. If it rips the next time I use it, I will alter this review, but so far, very good!

Not for old people.
Don't buy this if you are old. You won't be able to get up.

It's good at the beach, the metal bars dig into the sand, otherwise it collapses underneath you.
It collapses when you try to get on it, the weight bearing metal bars underneath the fabric aren't able to bear any weight, I've hurt myself twice when trying to get on it, the supporting bars aren't able to support any weight, and I'm not a big person. I haven't taken this lounge to the beach yet, maybe if I dig the bottom metal bars into the sand it will stay in place. UPDATE: I took it to the beach and it worked out really well where the metal weight bearing bars dug into the sand really well. I'm very happy about this as this was a rather pricey purchase. Just know that it doesn't work anywhere but the beach, and there, it outperforms because it's awesome with the shoulder straps where you can wear it like a backpack, that is super awesome. I originally rated this as 1 star but because it works really well at the beach, I updated my review to 4 stars.

Terrible chair very flimsy
I returned this right right away. I was really hoping that this was going to work out for the beach however as soon as I took it out of the box I knew it was not gonna work, the clips are very hard to unclip, the chair itself is very flimsy I cannot imagine this would hold 250 pounds, the material is so tight it has no give so as soon as I sat on it the back flipped right up on me I even tried it the reverse way, but it kept flipping back up on me so I could not even recline.., i'm 145 pounds maybe 100 pound person would have better luck with this. I'm just going to buy the Tommy Bahama chairs much better quality.. some of my chairs had lasted nine years from Tommy Bahama

Great for beach tanning
I enjoy stretching out at the beach and this chair is perfect for that. My first one lasted years about 8 or 9 years. Unfortunately, the sand and saltwater took its toll and made it rusty and hard to open this past summer. I was happy to be able to find the same chair again, and I didn't think twice about buying it. I love the backpack straps, so I can easily carry it to the beach by myself along with my beach bag and water. If you want it to last longer, wipe it off at the end of your beach season to clear it of excess sand.

Overpriced and poorly constructed
Yes, it is a lounge chair and I had no choice but to use it on my trip. It is comfortable and perfect if you only want to lay flat. Forget trying to sit at any angle. The minute you get up and sit back down, the back folds in on you. It's because the material for the lounge chair is all one piece and when you sit, it pulls the fabric and causes the back to pull forward. I finally figured out to hold the seat back in place and sit down slowly. The seat material is good and comfortable just poorly designed. I've only used it for 2 days and one of the legs doesn't want to close, it's stuck open. The hinges and connections are cheaply made and I doubt I will get another season out of it. For the price, it should be much better quality. I'm going to try and find one that isn't one piece of fabric. I miss the good old weaved plastic ones that were separated. They just don't make things like they used to.

Convenient Comfort
Big fan of this lounge chaise! I though it would be harder to fold up based on previous reviews, but I have had it for over 6 months and it's been super reliable. I like that it has different straps and buckles to keep it in place. It is wide for a back-back- but it's foremost a chair! The width is great for laying down (for one person). If you need to adjust the back of the chair once it is folded out, you can fold it all the way in and then fold it back. From the back forward is how it sits into each notch you select.I have maybe fallen once when I didn't secure one of the legs fully before laying down, but that was my own error. Perfect beach lounge chaise- pop out in the yard or whenever want to catch a tan.
