I recently installed the KUANYUOO Recliner Sofa and Chair Replacement Cable, and while I can’t speak to its long-term durability yet, I’m extremely happy with the product so far. Replacing a broken cable was quick and easy, especially with helpful video instructions available on YouTube.The key to ordering the correct cable is measuring the exposed length—from the end of the clip to the end of the Z hook. It’s tricky to do this while the cable is still in the chair, so if possible, measure the old cable directly. I specifically chose this product because it’s adjustable, and the adjustment process was simple thanks to clear instructions in the product listing.Great product, smooth installation, and a perfect fit! Will update on longevity, but for now, highly recommended!

I bought these to replace the broken recliner release cables on my 15 year old Lane recliner sofa. This was my first time changing these, but fortunately there are several videos on the web with clear instructions. They look and perform as well as the originals. Hopefully even better!

Fixed my broken recliner with ease 5 stars

Look closely at two parts of your broken cable that you’re trying to replace. You want to make sure the end (either a loop or a pin) matches yours. Also, a little ways down from the end: make sure the thicker part matches. This is the key - it attaches to the chair. Can be hard to slide on. I had to hammer mine with a hammer and then push. I ordered the wrong type first, having not taken the broken cable out of the bottom of my chair. Once I did, I matched mine to the images. The images posted are very clear. They do change with each length change, so look closely! Mine was an exact match and took only seconds to attach. (I didn’t bother to screw the handle in under the seat cushion - it works fine)

This was easy to install and seemed to be somewhat sturdy and reliable. We only needed one, so we taped the second one under the chair for future use in case the one in use ever breaks.I liked that the hole pattern lined up perfectly to the holes that were already drilled into the wood frame of the chair so I didn’t have to drill anything. You have to be super careful when ordering this pull-chord to make sure that you account for these critical variables: 1) the type of cable end matches your furniture machinery, 2) the length of the cable is as close to what you need as possible so that you don’t come up short or too long and have to hide the slack, 3) the travel distance of the steel cable inside of the cable sheath is precisely aligned to what is needed to release the footrest, 4) the hole pattern matches the cable you are replacing (not so critical, I guess), and 5) the handle is reachable from your sitting and upright position.

I bought a reclining sofa from marketplace, and about a week later one of the recliner cables snapped. I ordered this part the evening it broke, and got it the next day. It took about 3 minutes to install, I just looked at the recliner on the other side as a guide. Works better than it did before!Edited to add: it broke about a week after installed. Still giving 3 stars because it was the correct part, arrived quickly, and installed easily, but annoyed it didn’t last.

I have a Lane Furniture recliner from years ago. The lever just broke off. Got this replacement in two days shipping. Fit perfectly and is a perfect replacement. Look at the loop ring to make sure you’re getting the right one. The original lever had a plastic clip that is right under the loop. This one is metal so I feel it’s more secure.
