This is my first chess board. It is very nice, especially for the price. It holds the pieces well, and will make travel easy. The magnets hold the pieces in place but also make the pieces feel the perfect weight. I love this set and glad I bought it.

My nephew just started playing chess and I wanted to get him a quality set that could travel with him but didn't look cheap or wasn't durable. I was impressed with this. Set. The quality, the size and the durability of the pieces as well as the board is excellent. I also love that the pieces go into designated slots keeping them snug so they're not rolling around and getting damaged.My nephew loved the set and it is so nice that it could be used in a variety of settings. It looks very sleek and pretty!

Very impressed with the quality of this set for what it cost. Really nice wood board and pieces. The pieces all have a snug home on the underside of the board so you can store it nicely. I love how it is magnetic. A benefit of the magnetic pieces I didn’t anticipate is it makes the pieces feel extra weighty when you place them. Excellent value.

I bought this set for my boys. They are ages 9-13 and have really enjoyed it! The look and feel of this set is well made and the magnets are strong enough that the game can even be played in the car! The design and storage capacity are just as expected. This is a great set for any age to play with!

Compact but lodge enough to enjoy playing on love the foam where all the pieces are held together, so they don’t get damaged at all when in storage. Also simple instructions on how to start for beginners of which I did buy it for my nine year-old granddaughter. The price is very good and I think all that are trying to teach their kids how to play that’s a perfect set to play on, especially if you wish to travel with it.

The family loves this chess board and pieces. The magnetic base keeps the pieces from moving at will if the table or board is bumped. The pieces are a good size and built with quality along with two additional queens. Great value for the money.

What I really liked about the scent was the fact that magnetic and the pieces for the most part stay where they need to be once moved. Decent quality.

Seems to be built well, and the design of the interior makes it unbelievably satisfying to open when pieces are placed on opposite sides. 15" is a good size for portability, and the latches while a little flimsy have a satisfying click. 4 stars, because the magnets inside the pieces are varying quality but magnetic nonetheless. Overall? Hard to beat this price for a magnetic set. And complete with Extra Queens too? Easy. Satisfied with my purchase, absolutely.
