Q: Can you change the nib?

I have the yellow version but I believe that it is the same pen in different colours. If so, then yes, I think you can change the nib. Mine is a fine nib and I think you can change it with any similar Zenzoi nibs. However, I should say that the Zenzoi medium nib is a much smoother nib than the fine nib. I have fine nib pens of other Zenzoi pens. They are all right, but they tend to be just less smooth and in some cases, can be scratchy.

Q: Is the nib a real medium or more like a fine?

Zenzoi pens are generally reliable when the nib indicates 'M', then it is medium. However, their medium is halfway between a European pen (eg Montblanc) medium and a fine. Also, occasionally, the supplier will send a fine nib when you ordered a medium, but such mistakes are not common with ZenZoi. It happens more with JinHao, but that could also be that JinHao sometimes advertise different nib sizes and if you change the colour of the pen without checking, the different colour may also be of a different nib size.

Q: Is the barrel thick or thin?

It's not thick. It's on the thinner side but not ultra-thin. I have small hands and one of the reasons I love it is because it's comfortable for me to hold. I really love this pen.
