Easy to use - but prep takes time
I used this on a new car and the water beading is incredible. Shine is good too. It was certainly no harder to apply than wax and maybe a bit easier. But I'd strongly recommend watching the instructional videos. They repeatedly emphasize the importance of proper paint preparation, including the removal of any other products or residue that might be on the paint. So while the product itself is very easy to use, make sure to factor in the time and effort needed to properly prep. Even on a new car, I wanted to make sure the paint was completely clean and that the dealership's spray wax was cleaned off. So I washed with a special soap and then went over the entire vehicle twice with a surface prep spray. Finally inspected with bright lights before applying the M888. I just applied one coat on a mid-size SUV and had enough left over for a second coat. I also applied it to the plastic trim and it holds up well there too. Hindsight . . . maybe don't apply it to side-steps as it will make any surface slippery.I doubt I'd use it again on the same vehicle, simply because of the amount of time required. But for a one time application it will be worthwhile IF it holds up as advertised.

Excellent product
By far the best ceramic coating I’ve used to date. Slick to the touch. Easy to apply and wipe off. Great water beading property. I’ve used it on 2 different vehicles now and need more for my truck. Great product.

Very easy product to use
We have a 2020 Ram 2500 6.4 4WD truck in Delmonico red with 27K miles on it. It's not a daily driver and stays in the garage when not in use. I'm in my 50s and have always taken pride in caring for our vehicles. As a kid, my dad owned a body shop so I'm more than familiar with paint care and have seen it all through the years. However, this is my first experience with ceramic coating. We have a couple classic cars and many of our car buddies have paid to have their cars professionally coated. I priced having ours done and to have it paint corrected, polished and ceramic coated was something like $1400. Being a DIY guy I wanted to try it myself and save the money. After washing I used a clay bar mitt and Meguiars Quick Detailer to remove any contaminates. Next, I used our DA and Meguiars Ultimate Compound to try to remove some of the light swirls from when (I'm assuming) the previous owner used a car wash. I didn't go crazy on this step as there weren't many swirls and not being an expert with a DA I didn't want to cut into the clear coat or cause any damage. Next, I applied Meguiars Show Glaze #7 by hand. Finally, it was time for the ceramic coating. It went on very easy and after the recommended flash time came off super easy with a microfiber towel. I was extremely pleased with the ease of use and it felt like I only used about half of the bottle for our entire crew cab 3/4 ton full sized truck. I may do a second coat (heavier this time ... first coat was thin but not too thin) on the roof and hood. I only gave it 4 stars because I'm curious how long it will last and how it washes up the next time it's dirty. I'm also anxious to do my wife's 2019 Nissan Armada daily driver and see how that holds up. If it's your first time trying ceramic coat I'd say go ahead and take the leap! The only advice I would give is to take your time with surface prep and keep lots of clean, dry towels on hand. Thanks Meguiars for another great product!

Does last
I applied this to my 2024 ford bronco on May 24th 2024 and at first it was amazing water rolled off my car like it was allergic to it, but now (Sept 23 2024) you can’t even tell anything was ever applied. I followed all the directions when doing the application. There was enough in the bottle to do 2 coats on the metal body parts of my bronco , the roof and rear side are not metal. Considering I paid over $100 for the kit and spent about 2 hours doing the full 2 coat application working 1 section at a time I am very disappointed that it didn’t even last 4 months. For the results I got I could’ve just as easily bought a $20 spray and wax bottle and gotten multiple applications that in total would’ve probably lasted 6 months. Save your time and money and don’t be fooled by the “amazing 5 star review” that people leave after the first day or two. And I know the description says “with proper maintenance “ well every other week while washing the car I applied a touch free SiO2 spray to maintain it as the directions on the box recommend.
