Stings my hands but really helps dry skin!
I love this Jan Marini BodyTx Resurfacing Body Lotion! The scent is a bit strong but still pleasant, and the difference it's made on my hands is amazing. I suffer from extremely dry, cracked skin in the winter and this lotion has really improved the look and feel of my hands when used every night before bed.The lotion is lightweight and stings when I first put it on my hands due to my damaged skin, but doesn't bother arms or legs. I use it each night before bed and wake up with considerably less flakes and scales. After a week or so of regular use my hands actually look and feel normal again which really helps my self esteem. My only complaint about this lotion is the high price. I've been trying to use it sparingly by focusing on my hands, but I'd really like to use it ask over my body. Unfortunately the cost is just too high for me to be able to order it regularly or use it on more than my hands.

Great exfoliating lotion
I've been wanting a lotion that can exfoliate as well recently, and this one fits the bill perfectly! I apply it after I shower and it dries non-sticky. I've noticed that I seem to have fewer ingrown hairs and a more even skin tone after using it consistently, which I appreciate. The packaging is nice as well, and despite dropping it multiple times it's never broken. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a lightweight exfoliating lotion!

Decent but overpriced
I have KP on my legs (bumps). I'm more or less able to control it by using Am-Lactin lotion once-twice a day. It took maybe a year or more of using it to finally see a significant reduction in the bumps. I was curious to see how this product compared to my beloved Am-Lactin.For the past two weeks, I've been using my regular lotion on my right leg and this lotion on my left. I apply equal amounts to each leg. This lotion is a thicker consistency than my usual product and I actually like that. I haven't experienced any burning sensation whatsoever, but my skin is also used to a high acid product. I thought the scent was similar to Am-Lactin, which isn't to say it's pleasant - it's just similar. After two weeks, I looked more closely at my legs and felt them to compare. TBH, I think my left leg (with this lotion) has *slightly* fewer red bumps on my leg than the right leg. However, the skin is more rough to the touch than my right leg. I will probably now switch to using this every other day, alternating with my usual. I might have even better results that way.If you're new to AHA or lactic acid products, I'd recommend start using them every other day and increase to daily or twice a day. Make sure You're using sunscreen, too, because You're more susceptible to being burned. The current price of this, at the time of this review, is $80 and I find that to be extremely pricey compared to other products.

Smoothing skin ingredients (no more chicken bumps), but pricey and fragrance is overwhelming
The sodium lactate, citric acid, and phytic acid in this lotion are excellent for smoothing skin and improving it's texture. It's especially useful for those that have a skin condition called chicken skin bumps, which about half the population experiences. In addition, the watermelon extract is packed with lycopene, a powerful antioxidant, and is beneficial for aging and inflammation and maybe even helps with skin firmness.Despite those solid ingredients, this is vastly overpriced to me. I understand premium pricing and market segmentation, but I expect something special from a premium product. This isn't full of rare botanicals or expensive ingredients. What it is full of is perfuming agents. The scent is incredibly overwhelming to me, plus it made me sneeze. At the top of the product listing, it's currently incorrectly categorized as unscented, but I am sure the unscented notation is a data entry mistake and not intentional since the ingredients are also listed.I would give this a 3.5 if I could, but I will round up because those that like perfumed lotions might find this enjoyable, plus it will do as claimed and improve skin texture.I can handle some of the fragrance ingredients listed when in smaller amounts (I've been able to use some products with linalool, for example), but there is something either in the umbrella fragrance portion or one of the other ingredients that doesn't agree with me.These are all the fragrance ingredients in this product:Fragrance, Benzyl Salicylate, Linalool, Cinnamal, Eugenol, Amyl Cinnamal, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal

Nicely moisturizing but pricey
I'm finding this Jan Marini resurfacing body lotion to be effective in helping to hydrate and smooth my aging skin. I'm middle aged now, and my body skin is getting harder to effectively moisturize and has lumps and bumps and dry spots and crepey skin that it never used to have. With long term use, I expect to see a reasonable amount of improvement with these skin concerns. This moisturizer has a nice consistency- I would say it is a mid-weight moisturizer that spreads easily. However, it does have a strong scent ( can't quite decide if it is floral or fruity) and it is expensive for a 4 oz tube. Most AHA body moisturizers I have tried have a very clinical scent to them, so this is an improvement over that, but people who are sensitive to scents may want to stay clear. If your budget can stretch to the high price tag on this, I think it is worth a try to see some skin improvement.

Small amount for the price
I find this to have a pleasant scent and it goes in to my skin quickly but it leaves my skin feeling a bit tight and smooth, rather than feeling plumped. It's supposed to be body lotion and says to use sparingly, which is wise since this can get used up quickly if you are applying all over your body. I think it's pricey and I don't see benefit of this for body. It hasn't improved overall moisture levels. My skin is still feeling dry. Am I missing something?

Love what it does to my skin
As I am aging my skin is harder to moisturize and it shows. This has really been helping to smooth out the texture and fine lines. I apply it daily to my arms and hands and really noticing a difference. I do reapply it a few times a day and before going to bed. My partner is notincing my hands getting softer (I love yard work)The smell it absolutely delicious. Smells like gardenias and lasts.
