The reel is very light and reels smooth. The grip is made of high strength plastic, the drag works well, there is a noticeable difference when you change the drag
The drag system on this is a washer pinch bearing system, the drag is adjusted by a screw that basically pinches a washer down onto a washer to tighten or loosen the drag on the reel.
Fishing with it is great, you can adjust the drag fairly quickly and it has nice tactile feedback
This reel its perfect for fishing both trout large and small mouth and crappie
