I've been having the same problem. I'm not so sure but I put the smallest piece of tape on the bottom of the stud and it seems to stay still. Just be carefull when you pierce your ear with the tape. I suggest putting the smallest piece of tape of the bottom of the stud but having the piece of tape long enough so when you pull the gun off your ear you hold the tape so the stud does not come off.
