Orpaz C-Series HK USP Holster Compatible with HK USP OWB Holster - Unisex - Will Secure Your Handgun with a Tactical Appearance

Pros: cheap to buy, modular, lightweight, sturdy, great retention, fits excellentCons: no way to conceal, only two screws holding the holster to the mounting piece and the thumb release is a little far for my short thumbs.So I wanted to test this holster a little bit before I reviewed it. At first it was way out there on my hip and every one noticed it was, within a few hundred feet easy. But alas, this isnt a concealment holster. This is more geared towards a duty, competition or open carry type holster. So it takes some getting used to. Certainly sticks out farther than a safariland, or so it feels that way. It certainly pushes out a little farther because of my tactical muffin top.So. The retention. I had my SO try to pull this gun off my hip as hard as she can twisting and pulling. Even some harsh yanks. This thing stayed strapped to my hip. I gotta say I was impressed. The retention works by grabbing the trigger guard and is defeated by a thumb release. There is also an adjustable friction type retention that works really well.Going day to day, besides people noticing I had a pistol. This thing is actually pretty comfortable. Not as comfortable as a good leather pancake holster. But its pretty nice. It doesn't bounce around because the plastic isnt super flexible. But its strong. From what I can tell its glass fiber reinforced and it shows. The texture is grainy and feels that way too. The thumb release for the active retention is a little far for my thumbs. But with enough practice I can draw from the hip almost faster than my safariland. Just as fast as a kydex pancake holster. The release is naturally right where you're thumb is going to be when drawing your weapon. So the release is second nature really, after some training.The modularity is sweet for this holster. Drop leg holster adapter for 60 bucks and a wealth of others for all sorts of applications.Final thoughts,For the price. This thing can not be beat. Not even with the incredibly unsafe blackhawk! Serpa.It's cheap, simple, strong and it can hold your weapon really securely. Again though, this thing sticks out a long ways. Good for duty or open carry and the such. Will post pics later.

I have an SAR ST10, which I have read is a HK USP clone, and it is - the ST10 fits great.*****make sure you adjust the trigger guard retention screw to hold it tight******. If you are like me, and you don't read directions first, you may think this thing is a pile of junk out of the bag. When I first fit my gun in, it just kept falling right out - the thumb release was useless. As I was packing the thing back in the bag to return it, I grabbed the directions to throw those back in, and I happened to catch "trigger guard retention screw." Turns out that was the most important step. So I tightened that up and now the thing works flawlessly. The plastic seems very thick and sturdy, doesn't feel like junk, or look like junk, and the release is hidden behind the slide of your gun. The thumb release is pretty cool - instead of having to unsnap a strap or deal with velcro - this you just tap a release with your thumb and boom. It is very easy to do in one fluid motion for a quick draw. I have also shaken this thing upside down, with the gun in it (no mag & unloaded), as hard as I possibly could, pulled on it as hard as I could, and the gun would not release. Glad I found this.

Been carrying this for duty for a few months now, I'm very impressed, it's very sturdy and the release mechanism is very fast and reliable. Orpaz has a great thing going

The holster is exactly what it says it is. It’s comfy, holds my gun well, has adjustable retention. My only potential concern with it is how little pressure is needed on the thumb button to release the gun. It seems to hold it very well (even holding the holster upside down doesn’t drop the gun) but if even a slight breeze hits the button the gun can be pulled out. It’s fine for quickly drawing, especially in a high stress situation, but it would theoretically not be very difficult for someone to snatch it out. I’m also slightly concerned about how it will perform down the line after the little bit of plastic that holds the trigger guard starts to wear down. Will it lose the active retention? Who knows.

Has good retention of USP, fits well.

Despite the fact that it's advertised as molded to fit HK USP, it doesn't. Not really. In order for me to even be able to force my USP in this holster, I had to completely unscrew the retention screw at the trigger guard. Even then, you really have to jam it in there to engage the catch so the weapon sits securely. However, once it's in there, good luck getting it out. The thumb release is too low to depress completely when you've got a full-size pistol. You definitely need two hands to get the gun out. Hold on to the holster with one hand while you force the gun out with your shooting hand. No way this is any way practical for a home defense situation. Belt clip is nice, though.

Can't find a lot of options fot the hk, glad I found this one. Good retention, comfortable. The gun itself is big for edc but this holster is a good option for when I do carry it.

This holster works fantastic. I went through a four day pistol course with a holster from another company and regularly was cussing it out as it would not consistently release my HK pistol when drawing quickly. I cannot tell you how upsetting that was! I so wish I had this holster, which releases my HK pistol consistently and cleanly every single time! If you want an OWB holster, this is a great choice, especially for the money! It holds your pistol securely, the tension on the retention is adjustable, and it releases your pistol consistently every time without having to pull your pistol out exactly the same way each time. In other words, you can be a bit sloppy on your fast draw and still get the pistol out quickly and cleanly without it jerking your hand position up for your first shot!!
