Total Block Sunscreen SPF 60, 2 Fluid Ounce

My wife uses Tizo3, which was recommended by her dermatologist. It is a good block with zinc and has a nice matte finish. The only problem? It is just too dark for her skin (and her skin is already olive). It may just not be the block for her. She wanted something that would not break out her skin; that had sufficient protection that she would not end up with more dark spots (that she is always struggling to get rid up and keep from starting) and had enough color that she does not need to put a foundation over. She is 53. After some research and the fantastic reviews here, she decided to try Total Block. Total block is more of a liquid (like a foundation) and comes in a bottle more like a sunscreen. The 2 ounce is a generous size. It comes with two tubes, one to make the color lighter; one to make it darker, that you add if the color is not right for you. Brilliant! My wife was a little concerned when it first went on. It appeared a little dark and rather thick. It also settles in wrinkles, so while getting ready in the morning you have to massage it out of the wrinkles a couple of times as it sets. But then, perfection! The color was perfect, the coverage is fantastic, and it looks good all day. It does not break out her skin; it washed off easily at the end of the day. Overall, she is extremely pleased with the block and will continue to use it.

I've been using this sunscreen for a little over a month now. I have melasma and I love the fact that this sunblock is tinted. It really helps covers up the hyperpigmentation with little to no additional face make up. I was using La-Roche Posay Anthelios for a couple years prior to trying Total Block Sunscreen and I have to say, Total Block does a lot better job at minimizing the hyperpigmentation from getting darker. Also, if you do choose to wear make-up over the Total Block Sunscreen, your make-up does not have the cakey appearance like some sunscreens may cause. The only con about this sunscreen, is that it's not waterproof (as stated on advertisement), but other than that, I highly recommend it for your normal day to day activities!!As a follow up, my family and I went to Disneyland in November 2016 and it was over 90 degrees the 3 days we were there. We were in the sun for 10 plus hours each day and my melasma did not get darker!

I live in Florida, so I wear sunscreen every day. I wear this as foundation. It's almost exactly the same color as my skin, as it comes, but there is a darkener and a lightener, so anyone could adjust it exactly to their tone. I even wear it to do mud races, which are notorious for washing off sunscreen. I've learned that if you put one thin layer of spray-on sunscreen first, let it dry, then apply Total Block, this stuff lasts through two hours of mud, water, and sweat. AND, it has never caused me to break out, even though I wear it all day, every day. This is the best make-up foundation I've ever used. It gives strong medium coverage, too. Won't completely hide dark spots, but does a good job of smoothing superficial wrinkles and pores.

First off this is LOADED with paba/parabens which is cancer causing (and if used on skin and eat them because they are found in some foods causes estrogen to raise like BPA does resulting in weight gain and early puberty in children etc.)- pharmaceutical and beauty product companies are starting to change their formulas and take them out - the USDA is going to ban them soon I've read.2ndly This goes on like thick thick makeup and looks like you have overdone your face. Wanted to like it but it's just way too thick and if you sweat- I don't sweat ever but this makes you sweat!! Or if you get in the water, bye bye Total Block, it runs down your face, onto your eyes OUCH and onto your bathing suit! and is not even 1% waterproof. So if you are at the beach be ready to reapply if you sweat or get in the water and have a mirror or you'll look terrible. I am at home with a pool and reapplied it without looking and my husband asked me why I had so much makeup on! I'll just stick to my Clarins Spf 50 tinted moisturizer or if I stay at home just use a white or clear waterproof one.

I tried and tried and cannot match my light brown skin. I added a little and it was pasty, I added more and it was still pasty. Then when I finally got to a color that wasn't pasty....it was too dark. Good concept but It is very greasy.I have sensitive skin and it broke me out. Just not for me.

This product comes in the color beige with two small tubes of additional color, one for lightening and one for darkening to match your skin tone. I used all of the lightener to make it light enough for me but it still wasn't. I am of European descent with blonde hair and green eyes so it would be better for someone with a darker complexion than mine. Also it's somewhat dry and needs a moisturizer under it. It was one of only four sunscreens recommended by my dermatologist so I am sure it's a good product for the right person.

I am so impressed with the product, but mostly, I'm impressed with the company! It was recommended to me by my (I don't know the official title, but she's a lady who does facials!)This product offers great coverage without looking caked-on, and so much easier to deal with than putting on clear sunscreen and make-up separately. Here's the good part: when I tried it at first it was too dark (and I added the whole tube of white!!) I was a little bummed. But, I emailed the company, and within 15 hours they responded- offering me an extra white control tube (for free this time to see how it works for me) and informing me of my options to buy the extra white in the future. The extra tube of white will cost less than a dollar! That makes the value of this product incredible.

I have been using this product for years!! I live in Hawaii and have an Arabian horse and it's 24/7, 365 UV rays year round even when partly cloudy or flooding. Otherwise, of course, it's bright sunlight and those who do not cover up, get skin cancer easily...I have used Total Block with great satisfaction and I'm no young chick either !! I highly endorse this product as it and its untinted version are always a MUST for my face (tinted) and my neck and chest (untinted) because I like to keep my skin clear of spots and such and so far, even with age, I've been doing pretty darn good lol....
